The track was written by Oliver Wickham, Crimsen and Feyln during the last winter in Toronto and is about how long the winters can feel in Canada. Summer is a very magical time here because we can't have outdoor festivals and events year-round, and when it finally comes along, we always try to make the most of it. But during those long winter months, the weather in Toronto can be incredibly overcast and cold. 

You're hearing lyrics about cold grey skies over the music you'd expect to hear outside in the heat of the summer. I hope the juxtaposition will encourage listeners to live in the moment and appreciate what they have, or at least give them some hope if they're feeling down.

"After his brilliant contribution to the Black Circle Vol 1 various artist EP, we welcome Balata back on our label with an amazing 2 track Afro House EP called Pour Toi.

The first track is called 'Je Plane ' in English I am high. Balata kicks it off with a strong kick and layered timbales that support the kick softly in the background. A progressing synthline melody, percussion and special FX move the track forward until a very deep bass is introduced. With noise FX the song gets to its first break where it builds up tension. Released by percussive elements like shakers and drums that build the groove of the track. The main break features a spacey synth melody progression leading the track to its second part. A real progressive and powerful modern approach on Afro House. This track can be played to build up your Afro House set or also nicely used in a progressive house set.

Pour-Toi feat. Ana Mago commences with a great percussive intro of deep toms, shakers, softer kick and a snare that set up an amazing groove right from the start. An underlying synth piano chord line, percussive echoes and synth riser as well as timbale FX and a very deep pumping sub bass and bassline make this one a dubby, progressive groovy kind of a track. Anna Mago's wonderful, sexy French female vocals give the track a sensitive and romantic meaning Pour-Toi - For you. A great melodic progressive Afro House piece of art Balata created here.

The sun sets its orange glow of dusk over a flock of seagulls in the warm breezy summer air, sending warmth and energy across the horizon. The second EP release from London based label “Interlude” who introduce the artist “Mazzè” a young music maker hailing from Szczecin,   Poland.
Delivering all together 5 tracks, including 2 remixes from UK based duo “Fluida” and another Polish native “Enigmatic”.
"Interlude" is a London based Electronic Music label. Founded eternally in 2019. A creative outlet aimed to explore electronic music in some of its most unique forms, not so much club orientated, neither specifically ambient nor downtempo, but something of an Interlude between. Releasing Deep, Organic sounds with an emotional touch. Connecting new or up and coming music makers from around the world.
For this remix we have “Fluida” who consist of friends Graham and Jake, an emerging UK based music duo, typically performing live on a Hang Drum in their DJ sets. Traversing between headphone listening and euphoric dance floor journeys, Fluida’s music manages to be both club friendly and intimate. The result is a breadth of sound that connects deeply with people both in the early evening and at those special moments in the early hours of the morning.

Well over a decade into their conquests - working with the likes of Darkroom Dubs, Connaisseur, Bedrock, Watergate and many more house music institutions - here we find the duo making their debut on Behrouz’s Do Not Sit On The Furniture with three immaculate, soul-laden pieces that hit all the right emotional spots without so once as a raising its voice over a whisper.

Soft, warm, stately, each cut whisks us away to far-off places; ‘Refraction’ ignites the engine subtly with a sense of uplift and hope. A true light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel tune, all arpeggios and velvety chimes, it sets the scene for the whole EP.

‘Gnomon’ takes us on a trip in the midday sun. Sedate, playful, mystifying and full of percussion, it’s the Norwegian duo in their most explorative mindset before they shut us down on a middle eastern marathon. Weighing in at almost 10 minutes, ‘Chains’ is a midnight locomotive of a track, surging with subtlety, insistency and consistency… And a sparkling top-line that reminds us, as always; you don’t need to be hard hitting to hit people hard. The feels are real on this one.

 Dead Can Dance is an Australian band formed in 1981. The two core members are Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry.

Lisa Gerrard tackles an Eastern devotional with "Saldek". A sitar and a tribal drumbeat keep the pace, as Gerrard offers up nasal tonalities and wields a passionate vibrato. Clocking in at only a few seconds past 1 minute, "Saldek" is over almost as soon as it begins. Considering also that it's positioned dead-center on Into the Laybrinth, it works as more of an intermission than a full-length Dead Can Dance confection. It's a fine intro and atmosphere-setter for the similarly-exotic and fleshier "Towards the Within."

A small tour on the east side (Radharc), but also the presence for the first (and last) time of cornemuse, for a title with splendid medieval/celtic accents (As The Bell Rings The Maypole Spins) completes this extraordinary journey into the unique universe of Dead Can Dance
