The Best of Aftertech Remixes

Coyu's remix for 'Natural Blues' was just the prelude for our big hommage to one of the biggest pop and electronic music artists of the 90's, Moby. We are proud to have this great bunch of remixes of some of the classic Moby's anthems, with different options from Deep House to Techno, for a wide range of DJs and music lovers. Four awesome artists, Victor Ruiz, Julian Jeweil, Reinier Zonneveld and Oxia deliver seven remixes of tracks like “Natural Blues”, “Go”, “Porcelain” and “Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad”. Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki’s main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted.  Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver’s heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg’s wall paintings adorn Stil Vor Talent ’s cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven’t brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its seventh installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.

ATLANT stays at home for ATL015 as Paris born Acumen teams up with Remcord, who returns to the label following a resplendent remix of Flowers and Sea Creatures’ summer smash ‘Color The Rain’. The resulting two tracker wrestles our focus firmly onto the dance-floor with a club crunching double tackle.

Majestic lead track ‘Youth Identity’ has a real sense of inertia driven by jarring whirring lines and rasping percussion, as harmonies develop with Acumen & Remcord drawing you deep into an ocean of the purest analogue synths. The dynamics are further enhanced by subtle atmospheric crashes and a persistent compelling groove that leaves you wanting more.
If ‘Youth Identity’ leaves you dazed with it’s 4/4 jab, then ‘The Human Poison’ really does the deliver the knockout blow. Propelled by a powerful bassline, the chopped up fx bathed vocal sample and deep dark echoed chord stabs hit all the right club notes. This track has become a firm favourite of our label boss. The story goes that BOg couldn’t wait to get these signed up after witnessing their devastating impact live. We are very happy to have that story continue to this significant conclusion.

ACUMEN
With a back catalogue stemming releases on the likes of Diynamic, Last Night On Earth, Suara, Selador, Get Physical and his own Time Has Changed imprint, French Producer / DJ Antoine Garcin aka Acumen has demonstrated his talent as an artist. The third in a series of album releases is set to land later in 2018. Named ‘Brune’ after his youngest daughter this will once again showcase his versatility in the studio.

PREMIERE : Acumen & Remcord - Youth Identity [ATLANT RECORDINGS]

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint continues its 2018 journey by welcoming George X to the label for his debut single. The Greek artist has a meticulous discography highlighted by appearances on Dream Culture, Get Weird and Magician On Duty where his unique take on deep house has found favor with John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, and Nick Warren. Now stepping up for his first appearance on Sound Avenue George presents his latest single 'Nahuati' alongside remixes from Cosmic Cowboys and PHCK.

The release concludes with PHCK. Founded by Paul Hoffer and Chris Kusterer, PHCK operated as a duo until 2017 before eventually adding the musical talents of Stefan Kling into the group. Releases on All Day I Dream and Connaisseur highlights the trio's discography and with an ever-growing synergy, PHCK now returns on Sound Avenue. 

Clocking in at a wondrous eight minutes it’s a free-flowing journey of deep emotive house. Delicate strums combined with spiritual vocals adorn the laid-back groove while timely atmospheric shifts and energy bridges make for many magic moments along the way. Effortless in delivery it sits as a wondrous stand-alone piece as well as a perfect complement to the brilliant original. It caps off a gorgeous release from Sound Avenue who continue to bend the label narrative with deep and enchanting releases.

We are pleased to present Wagner as a new member of the Uxoa Dutxa Elite family with his debut release titled and dedicated to Osiris the God of Resurection, this EP contains 3 original tracks with ethereal melodies taken from the deepest underworld.

Osiris begins in a majestic way with a great synthesizer giving entrance to the kick drum with a great blow, a hypnotic arpeggio in the background and percussions are including to the theme without forgetting the main lead that enhances its authority in the break turning to a mysterious and energetic track.

Depth of Field, is a quieter theme but with the same intensity, where the melodies of the background are more pure and melancholy, small riffs are incorporated creating a sublime sound set transmitting the perspective of the void and the absoluteness at the same time, simply music with soul.

Dyspo, is the last track but the most explosive, the arpeggio sequence arises from the beginning and with the percussive elements conceive a hypnotic and contagious groove, then a small riff that emerges from the darkness become essential at every step of the theme and in conjunction with the powerful bassline give a sense that all sounds create a monster that is destroying the universe with each hit of the drum, a track that will be equally essential and dispensable to destroy the dance floor.

As a family, they came together and each artist remixed their favourite track from the last years.

Frezel - Get Serious (Ariose Remix) 
Ariose is a Scottish duo that is working hard to breach the scene wide open with their unique sound. It is deep but danceable, and that is exactly what they made of Get Serious. In the introduction, they left the melody of Frezel quite intact. 
But then, after a break with an uplifting bassline, they come loose. The groove is on and they only bring you further into the track with smartly placed special effects and sweet and breathtaking synths. A brilliant remix!

Carl Cox is an industry figure head whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

This latest offering from Intec features two new and previously unreleased remixes of Carl Coxs classic track Your Light Shines On.

Your Light Shines On was originally released in 2016 as part of Intecs landmark 100th release, and the two new heavyweight remixes are provided by Pan-Pot plus Chus & Ceballos.

German duo Pan-Pot to most fans of the techno genre need little introduction having first made a name for themselves on Anja Schneiders Mobilee, before starting their own successful label known as Second State.

Spanish collaborators Chus & Ceballos focus their sound more towards house music, and along with releases on their own label Stereo Productions, have also featured on imprints including Toolroom and Defected.

Carl Coxs original version of Your Light Shines On has an underlying techno groove with tribal percussion plus Jamaican style steel drums, and each of the remix artists has focused on the elements most commonly associated with their genre in order to make the track their own.
