Radikon head Jonas Saalbach returns to the label's spotlight with a 6 track mini album which represents nothing less than his own state of the art production peak while establishing an intimate attempt at songwriting offering a unique insight to the artist's mindset. Jonas' introvert outrospective feels like taking a deep breath and pressing the pause button to take back just a brief moment in time to take a look around and reflect on the state of the Zeitgeist and it's given implications on our daily lives. ‚Acceleration' makes no pretence to give a abstract philosophical reflection from a zoomed out perspective on contemporary societal circumstances, this a pure and highly personal perception directly from the artist's POV. Saalbach reviews his own strategies to cope with an ever growing pressure to keep moving at any given moment to match up with the technological revolutions happening around all of us at an ever accelerating pace. Luckily the producer found his zone of zen inside the walls of his studio and delivers yet another forward thinking production on the edge of tomorrow. The spectrum covered within the 6 pieces ranges between dancefloor hymns with driving drum sections to catchy vocal hooklines with pop ascendents. Thematically every songs stands for another individual observation of the times at hand. If it's the definition of what it means to be human in an era of rising robotic minds, the widely spread distress of keeping up without knowing if there's a finish line to cross behind the horizon or the supposedly basic question of where to live the good life, Jonas does not pretend to have an answer. But he invites you to take the journey through these foggy passages together. These are questions everyone of us has buried in the back of our heads and this is why it's even more important to openly share the feeling of uncertainty to feel less alone in the age of ‚Acceleration'.

One of our family artists is releasing a new E.P. in Beatfreak Recordings.

Mathias Winnfield, comes back after his release "Late night rider" presenting a new E.P. with these amazing songs "Full Moon" and "Slow Dancing".

Both tracks are majestic gems of the artist. In "Full Moon" we can find a powerful bass synth which is driving the whole track taken by a strong drum base.

"Slow Dancing" has some similar patterns keeping the strength of the rhythmic base but using this time some acid synths and vocal chops.

Monastetiq remixes "Full moon" imprinting his own signature in it and developing a Melodic Techno version of the original song.

Release Info: 
Astral Records rounds out the month of May by welcoming Chris Schweizer to the label for his debut EP. Since his emergence in 2009, American producer Chris Schweizer has developed into one of trance music's most recognized artists. Armin Van Burren's Armada imprint would be the primary vehicle for Chris' energetic, club-effective and highly emotive sound. The Dutch imprint would play host to the Miami resident's production prowess in excess of one hundred times, with Black Hole, Coldharbour and Perfecto also being landing spots along the way. 2023 proved to be a pivotal year in Chris' evolution as an artist, with a shift in sound marked by a release via Paul Thomas' UV Noir, one where Chris would explore the slower tempo's and metallic melodies of melodic house and techno. Now, continuing on this explorative path, Chris unveils his first project of 2024 with his Astral Records debut 'Flashback'. 'Flashback' leads the release off in grand fashion and only furthers Chris' journey into the darker depths of melodic techno. Strong kick drums and a bed of crunchy rhythms provide the anchor for layers of flickering percussion and shapeshifting arps. Cruising with a commanding presence, there's a strong sense of flow across the first act, as striking chord stabs and a chant-like vocal sample not only add depth and character, but a tension filled rise leading into a seismic break, one where pyrotechnic synths and mutated vocals converge for an epic segue into a thunderous finale. Beneath the colossal sounds of 'Flashback' lies the equally impressive 'Odyssey'. Continuing the main room assault, Chris' pristine production chops serve him well here, bursting with ultrasonic qualities and a keen sense of drama and tension. In what is an energy rush for the ages, it's a rollercoaster of anthemic chord stabs and deconstructed vocals which provide a prophetic storyboard, while a foundation of titanic kick drums and rippling grooves keep the focus firmly on a peak time dancefloor.

La Taha de Pitres is a beautiful municipality in the province of Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It consists of seven charming villages: Pitres, Capilerilla, Mecina, Mecinilla, Fondales, Ferreirola, and Atalbéitar. Let me share some details about Pitres, the central village within La Taha:

Location: Pitres is situated in the Alpujarra Alta, nestled between the Barranco de Bermejo and the Barranco de la Sangre. It lies amidst the picturesque villages of the Barranco de Poqueira and Trevélez, which is the highest village in the entire Alpujarra region.
Population: Approximately 400 residents call Pitres home. It’s a tranquil place with stunning views, retaining well-preserved traditional neighborhoods like Hondillo, Alto, Casarón, and the neighborhood of La Virgen.
Sights and Activities:
Parroquial Church of San Roque: This church, built on the site of an ancient mosque, features an interesting narrow tower that has become an emblem of the village. Federico García Lorca, the famous poet, visited Pitres in 1928 and described it as a place “without voice or mountain doves.”
Calle Real: A delightful street near the main square, adorned with arcades, plants, and breathtaking vistas. These houses, inspired by traditional Alpujarran architecture, were constructed in the 1940s after the village suffered damage during the Spanish Civil War.
Fun Fact: In 1905, politician Natalio Rivas asked the people of Pitres what they wanted, and their playful response was “a seaport.” Since then, this mountainous village humorously boasts its own “seaport.”
