Australian powerhouse Kasey Taylor is one of the most recognised contributors of progressive house in his land. Owner of his own imprint, Vapour Recordings, which recently celebrated its 20th birthday has an unmatched back catalogue covering Bedrock, Flow Vinyl and many more. Fellow Melbournite Karl Pilbrow has made his name on the international DJ circuit with solid performances at places like Burning Man and Rainbow Serpent just to name a few. 

The title track, ‘Amber Skies’, opens in ominous dark tones. Sparse in its infancy, layers of melody and percussion wake this sleepy beast from its slumber. By midway, after a brief respite, we’re flying in glorious technicolour. ‘Magnetik Spaces’ picks up where its brother left off; twinkling arps and huge cinematic pads evolve throughout. Muscular and deep, this is prog perfection in audio glory.

Ever since Canadian duo Beije released their debut single on Manual Deep, they've been making regular appearances on the Dutch record company's various labels. Last year they've already appeared on Manual Music with the release of their song 'A Memory' on the 'Explorations' various artists album, but now it's time to shine the full spotlight on them with their solo double A-sider 'Viscera' / 'Sigil'. Two peak time melodic proggy pieces of dancefloor candy that will surely appeal to many.

Argentinian producer Emi Galvan returns on Manual Music and has reworked 'Sigil' into an incredibly infectious peak time progressive house burner. This one has got 'hit record' written all over it with it's relentless drive and big portion of funk. Bombs away!

Last February 2020 before we were all sent into confinement due to this Covid-19 pandemic i had the chance to visit Buenos Aires to play in an amazing showcase at "The Bow" invited by my home label SUDBEAT and the whole Argentinian family.  Always loved the original track and some other versions during the years so i did a rework of it.
Hope you enjoy it, stay home and i also hope this puts a big smile on your face in this weird times.

Tash's Movement Recordings celebrates their 200th release by welcoming Rafa'EL back to the label for a new EP.

The first interpretation of 'Misconception' is provided by Movement artists Paul Angelo and Don Argento. Hailing from Cyprus, the much-loved duo has become a core part of the Greek imprint since making their debut in 2017 with a contribution to the label's 'Technical Progress' Vol. 7 collection. Paul and Don have since gone on to appear an additional six times while also finding a home on Beat Boutique, Dopamine Music, Sound Avenue and Soundteller Records. Now following their well received 'Dear Cave' EP, the duo lands back on Movement with a stunning remix of 'Misconception'. Dark and driving, the groove commands a large presence as electric rhythms and astral artifacts adorn the framework. Evolving with a veteran's savvy, timely drops and percussive flurries provide dynamic moments leading into the second act. Icy drifts highlight the main break, delivering palpable tension before melting down to a wonky fill and ultimately a powerful drop.
