“Under Downin” and above the covers a line of young-folk, fiercely drunk, excited and uncertain about the upcoming events of their long and hazy night appears to the trained eye of a 3rd person spectator. Inside, only two protagonists enjoy a preliminary calm, playing each other their favorite tunes, relaxing before the events of the night unfold. An organ-bass-heavy slow wave of air fills the empty halls, slithering hihats, a damped clap and a grossly distorted vocoder-esque voice is calling out your name. Shuffle your shoes and fasten your trousers … or not. Its fast its loose its heavy its smooth, because its still “Klapp Downin”! Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music continues a strong summer season by welcoming Messier and EZEK to the label for their debut single. Hailing from the USA and Brazil respectively, both Messier and EZEK are well established in their solo careers. A combined discography boasts releases via Awen Tales, Beatfreak, Freegrant, Steyoyoke, Univack and more. The duo's astral sounds have also found favour with a broad selection of the underground’s tastemakers in Danny Tenaglia, Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, Nicole Moudaber and more. Having previously collaborated on a track for Beatfreak’s Elements 05 collection, Messier and EZEK join forces once again, making their Eat My Hat debut with ‘All I Need’, alongside a remix from Ziger. 

Aimed squarely at a peak hour dance floor, ‘All I Need’ marries trance-inducing rhythms and striking percussion with punchy beats and rolling grooves. An array of squelchy stabs and devilish effects steals the air across the first act, sweeping in and out of the stereo-field, as vocal overlays create intrigue leading into the break. Looking to bring greater emotional depth across the interlude, a primary melodic theme rises, bringing with it prophetic vibes and warm chord changes, before a well-crafted build and buzzing effects spark a devilish drop and charged finale.

The lone interpretation of 'All I Need’ is provided by Eat My Hat label boss Ziger. The veteran Greek artist had a memorable 2022 which was highlighted by projects for ICONYC, iNu, SLC-6 Music and of course Eat My Hat. 2023 has seen the Athens resident be choosy in his projects, with a lone remix of Axel Giova’s ‘Crescendo’ landing in March to a warm reception. Now, presenting just his second production of the year, Ziger overhauls ‘All I Need’ in epic fashion. While maintaining the electric spirit of the original, the veteran artist crafts a sweeping sonic experience all his own, a fiery journey where thunderous grooves meet siren-like wails and panoramic effects for the ultimate dance floor assault. A festival style break sits at the heart of the journey, as charming atmospheres and cosmic spirals give way to glowing vocal motifs and buzzing siren-like wails, onwards to a finale where euphoria awaits with arms raised and eyes closed.

This mix is a testament to my versatility, exploring different shades of house music (and some breaks) while keeping the energy and flow in check.

The first hour is a live recording from a gig in my home city, Lahore. The energy from that night inspired me to expand the mix beyond a 3-hour journey featuring incredible music from friends, inspirations, and myself. It's a dive into expression of deep feels and sonic textures.

The biggest compliment came from chief YokoO, who called it a "nice journey and a great showcase of SATYA music." That means a lot.

To conclude this musical narrative, I chose an older remix of Glass Animals—a song that served as my gateway into the world of deep house. Playing it here is both an homage to my younger self who dared to dream and a celebration of ten transformative years immersed in the magic of music.

Happy to have space commander André Rech on the show! The Brazilian DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist takes the strength of a two-decade career in his artistic approach. Musique de Lune rounds out the month of October by welcoming Luke Santos back to the label for a special remix edition of 'I Am Everything'. As a DJ for well over two decades, Argentina born, Netherlands based artist Luke Santos has delighted crowds across the world with his far-reaching sound. Long-standing events such as ADE, WMC, The Love Parade and more have been recurring locations for Luke's exquisite taste and impeccable programming skills; while GU Music, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden have been global music brands to request his talents. A near decade-long career as a producer indicates his selective nature, with Cid Inc's Replug Records, Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank and Global Underground being the primary landing spots for his stunning creations. 2022 would see Luke return from a five-year hiatus via Musique de Lune Noire with the well-received album project 'I Am Everything'. A release which not only holds the distinction of being Noire's inaugural release, but received praise from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now, two years on from the release, Luke makes his debut on Musique de Lune's primary imprint with a special remix edition of 'I Am Everything', featuring Hernán Cattáneo & Marcelo Vasami, Kasper Koman & Alex O'Rion, Noraj Cue & Unders and Patrice Bäumel.

Progressive House phenoms Kasper Koman and Alex O'Rion are up next with a massive rendition of 'I Am Human'. Already in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo, the Dutch duo combine their creative forces for a festival sized rework fuelled by striking stabs, hopeful overlays and relentless drive. A well-constructed break sits at the core of the track, one which finds a perfect balance of tension and emotion, before a finale of pulsating grooves and orbiting effects fully saturates your senses.
