The Black Key team return with the second in their limited, vinyl-only series, with Cologne based producer, Pawas, delivering a truly excellent and diverse 4 track EP, which oozes quality from start to finish. "Dubba" commences the EP in an understated but crisp fashion which uses delayed rim shots, subtle synth stabs and perfectly executed sub bass to build a flittering, shuffling groove, which has unmistakable dance floor appeal. "DA" builds from nothing into a pulsating and hypnotic houser, moulding loose hi hats, layered claps and an acid-infused bass line to supreme effect. Add in expertly-placed rising synths, plus a haunting vocal sample, subtly used, and you have a serious track on your hands. The production versatility of Pawas is demonstrated on the flip with "2047" - such a contrast from the opening 2 tracks, but delightfully so. This is guaranteed to make heads nod and feet tap, mixing together jazzy keys, fluid tom rolls and perfectly panned percussion. Then the vocal drops. Last, but certainly not least, we have "Mello" which sees Pawas partner up with Matthias Keul to great effect. A more down-tempo and musical affair, rounding off the EP is true style. Vinyl only.

Shift Work (@shiftworking) are an electronic duo who have previously released on JD Twitch’s Glasgow label Optimo Music. They debut on Houndstooth with ‘Document II’, an EP developed from live jams on outboard analogue gear. ‘Abandoned Hands’ is lean and raw, an angular bassline and indecipherable vox punctuating the relentless 4/4 kick drum and pattering percussion. ‘SBFM’ is fuller-bodied, with the modulating bassline taking centre stage, draped in loose synths and topped with a deadpan vocal refrain.

Shift Work invited remixes from their associates, and the results are impressive, with DVA Damas (@dvadamasdvadamas) dialling down the tempo and stripping back ‘Abandoned Hands’ further still, whilst Factory Floor (@factory-floor) return to remix duty on Houndstooth with a typically subtle yet infectious building take on 'SBFM'.

Clint Stewart introduces a different vision of this Evolution getting the perfect balance between deep and techno. The American guy renders a mature sound ordering the layers of the original track in a smart and special way.

Expedite is the second track but also a winner. Bass is the main and successful actor here with also heavy doses of a techy groove. The different treatment of voices is another hook of this bomb where music speaks louder than words.

Open Circuit provides a raw energy in a constantly crescendo. The track's sections are joined by subtle 303 modulation making it as captivating as it is unpredictable. This one will make it for all the 4x4 lovers. Patrick re-visited the track forgetting the beat and creating a solid twist of an electronic music piece.

This Aftertunes is massive! Ten tracks with each their own unique sound. There are many new faces on this one, but yet they all scream Aftertech Records. We are very happy with this one and we are sure many of these tracks will be played all around the world.
Another duo which is new in the game. But wow, they know how to make themselves an entrance! The way they manipulate their never-ending melody is remarkable. Somehow it is the same thing over and over again but yet it is different every moment. Based in the world, made in Berlin and powered by the audience: this is Einmusika Recordings. Founded by label boss Einmusik end of 2008, the imprint has grown to a large family with members from Beirut, Toronto, Madrid, Amsterdam and many more cities. To celebrate 10 Years of it's creative journeys and visions, Einmusika asked some friends and highly respected musicians to pick their favourite track from the past 10 Years for a very particular remix. Get inspired by a drifting version of Tim Engelhardt's "Trust" delivered by Nico Stojan. "Imagine" a wild and liberating summer with Markus Kavka's interpretation of Marc DePulse and put your dancing shoes on when Gabriel Ananda's remix of Betoko's "Foreverness" flows through the speakers. 

„No Human Is Illegal" was the message Budakid has sent in 2016 and Mira & Chris Schwarzwalder keep on spreading this special and important word through a lovely and deep version of it. Marco Resmann asks: "Does Your Love Fade Away" with a darker and techy interpretation of the classic from Piek. Uplifting and right in time for the summer comes Eelke Kleijn's "Visions" with a dreamy and melodic attitude and some typical Amsterdam sounds. The original by Pysh was released in 2015 and still shakes the clubs. 

Every Journey Creates A New Sound - Einmusika's trip continues and the label will manifest itself with many showcases and own festival stages till the end of 2019.
