You would expect that, as a musician, my greatest motivation was simply to make music. Well, that would be quite obvious, wouldn't it? As an artist I also try to understand the needs, the concerns and the current situation in which people and the world live. I believe that sometimes we need to be "Something Else" and approach things differently in order to change the environment around us.

Speaking of change, I decided to escape my comfort zone a little bit in this track. I just let myself be carried away by what I felt at the moment, so I think it's a very experimental track. However, I believe that it keeps the essence of Melodark - the balance between dark moments and harmonious melodies, the calm in the middle of the storm.

In the end, I think this track is really "Something Else". Literally...

Original lyrics and beautifully enveloping and elevating sounds permeate until the great ascent comes back with full force. The driving bass, the intermittent arps, soundscapes and the melodies intertwined in the voyage have breaks and turns that make 'Love' appear ever more encouraging and inspiring. A true testament of what Love is about.


Dual 56 refurbishes the track with a plethora of sound ingenuity. His remix of Phunsukh's 'Love' reveals an explosive expression of the song. Thriving with coming and going pads and voices, a driving bass-line and alternative versions of intermittent arps, the remix delivers a track of great presence while maintaining its message. An unforgettable break and rise then reaches its peak and returns to the effects, synths and bass-line that characterize the track. An intense transport into the power of love.

Deepwibe Underground welcomes Dmitry Molosh back to the label for a new single. The Belarus based artist made his first appearance on the Estonian imprint in January with a well received remix of 'Elysium' by The Cobb. As one of the years biggest progressive house tracks, the remix enjoyed a one month long stay atop Beatport's Progressive House Hype Chart and a near eight month long run in the Top 100. Now considered one of the label's primary artists, Dmitry has gone on to deliver two singles and another remix over the last nine months. With a collaborative project with Cid Inc recently released on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Dmitry now returns to Deepwibe Underground with a new single entitled 'Obsession', alongside a remix from Ewan Rill & K Loveski.

'For the 30th release of Infinite Depth, no one less than Brian Cid makes his debut on the label. The American bred and Berlin based producer has a very impressive discography and shows his darker side through this 'Rise To The Fifth' EP. The collection includes three storytelling originals with terrestrial atmospheres, guiding you to an unknown dimension.

The EP starts off with 'Alma De Monte', which means mountain soul. Around the organic kick and percussion, spacious elements are taking shape. Throughout the track these elements are generating a rising tension, which gets strengthened by a screaming sound of the mountain's soul. 

The next stop towards the unknown dimension is 'Mar Adentro'. The intergalactic, but still organic atmosphere gives you the feeling of being surrounded by a world bigger than ours. The earthy sawing synth in combination with the trippy higher details, makes you keep your feet on the ground, but brings your head into that mysterious and infinite world.

'Rise To The Fifth' gives you that extra push into the unrevealed fifth dimension. A dimension which a human mind is not capable of imagining. The stronger lower part of the track and celestial aspects are creating this journey toward the fifth. When arrived an unidentifiable sound welcomes you.'

Yahra made his debut on the label on the "Moods Sampler" and has since released music on Flug Lab, The Purr and other labels. A DJ and producer from India now based in Phoenix, Arizona, Yahra is drawn to deep and organic house music with an emphasis on emotional, cinematic melodies. His DJ sets and mixes showcase his unique sound, inspired by his life experiences. Despite being a newcomer to production, Yahra has gained recognition in the music community, with a remix of "CRi - Never Really Get There" reaching the final 8 in Anjunadeep's remix competition in 2021 and two of his tracks reaching the Beatport Top 100 Releases charts. Producers are the backbone of any label; developing supportive and genuine relationships with our artists is the core principle of TOR's development. Our 'Amis' series is an ode to the figures that we feel are at the foundation of the label's journey thus far.

To kick off the Amis series on TOR, there was truly only one man for the job. Wassu will always hold a special mantle at the TOR imprint, as the man who inaugurated the label with his Andu EP in 2020. <p>In the same vein as her recently launched MOOD imprint, Believe is suited to a number of atmospheres and settings. Across the nine original productions and one collaboration with label boss Adam Beyer, Nicole has crafted a sonically diverse long-player of sounds which draw on the plethora of styles electronic music has to offer. From her accustomed techno to twisted house and everything in-between, the stylistic variety on offer means cuts Believe will easily feature in more intimate settings and big-room venues alike. Believe features a host of tracks aimed squarely at the clubs. From the moody Movin On, the bass-heavy Do Your Thing, to the industrial techno grooves on Come And Lay and the hypnotic chanting vocal on Get On It, the techno-aficionados will not be disappointed with what is sublime set of cuts that will no doubt destroy any dance-floor. </p>

<p>In contrast however, there are more intimate moments to be found. For example the rhythmically entrancing yet uplifting Fly With You, to Liberum Spirita with its mazy ethereal breakdown, and the synth-heavy percussive builder Lumière Tamisée. Nicoles further flexes her production muscle with the stripped back dub-flavours of Big Love With No Apology, and a robotic groove-laden funk on the standout Can I Get Some. Believe delivers a consummate body of work with which Nicoles considerable abilities in the studio are clear for all to hear. A wide-range of sounds that is sure to appeal to the idiosyncratic tastes of the various sub-sections of electronic music community. Furthermore, it lives up to the high-standards of previous Drumcode long-players and is an engrossing and impressive debut; and one that offers a smooth segue into the next chapter of an already exciting career.</p>
