There aren’t many people that can say that they have devoted their entire life to electronic music, Florian is most certainly one of them. DJ, producer, lecturer, plus label owner? Yes, Kruse has ticked all the boxes.

His passion for music began in his hometown in Northern Germany. An avid reader of Frontline magazine, and later the Raveline, his love for electronic music was born at 14, when he bought his first turntable. At 16, Kruse invested in his first sampler, a mixer and a keyboard. With music in mind, he made the natural migration to Hamburg in 2002, where he studied Audio Engineering, and later taught at SAE. 

Long time in the game, he started his music career in 2007, with his first vinyl release on Stokholms, Heya Hifi. Since then, Kruse has only grown as both a producer and a DJ. With Stel Vassiloudis and Nils Nuernberg, he became project Wiretappeur, with releases on Bedrock and a remix for label head honcho John Digweed. Nils Nuernberg quickly became his partner in crime, and together became the production duo Kruse & Nuernberg, their hypnotic Deep House sound making appearances on Liebe*Detail, Exploited, and Rejected. In 2008 they started their own label, Save Room Recordings. 

A focus on his own productions, Kruse plunged into a solo career with a release on Anjunadeep, working together with his older brother Vincenzo and one of his long time idols Lisa Shaw. Followed by releases on Noir Music, Poker Flat Recordings, Stil Vor Talent, Joris Voorn’s GREEN imprint, Kompakt, Last Night On Earth and Suara and remixes by Noir, Eagles & Butterflies, Joris Voorn, Pleasurekraft, Coyu, David Morales and the list of releases and remixes goes on. After a couple of feature tracks with singer / songwriter Hendrik Burkhard Florian and Hendrik started a LIVE project presenting ‘TheGround’ with an album (Dediction) in October 2017 on Steve Bug’s Audiomatique label.

Einfach mal über den Dingen schweben und nur den Launen der Winde ausgesetzt sein. Sich nicht treiben lassen, sondern durch magische Kräfte getrieben werden hinaus zu den so viel beschworenen "neuen Ufern". Das wäre es doch. Einfach mal die Perspektive Wechseln und nicht über den Tellerrand schauen, sondern gleich den ganz Tisch verlassen. Ein wahrlich erhebendes Gefühl.

Die Welt schwindet unter deinen Füßen. Dinge die eben noch klein waren sind jetzt noch viel kleiner. Du tauchst ein ins reißende Blau welches weiß durchsetzt ist und sich schließlich in ein allumfassendes Schwarz verwandelt, welches zu glitzern scheint. Hier oben weit weg vom heimischen Teller ist alles anders, es kann für Erkenntnisse sorgen, es kann aber auch verängstigen
Über den Dingen schweben ist nicht einfach. Aber unser heutiger Gast hat uns eine deep story zu diesem Thema mitgebracht. Was er in Form von Ton berichtet bewegt, da geht nicht nur der Körper, sondern auch das Herz in die Luft!

Birdhouse presents Lusatia 2020 - Digital Fundraiser Festival

◢  As all festivals have been canceled, Lusatia and Birdhouse joined forces to create a digital festival fundraiser with the mission to draw attention to the situation caused by the pandemic.  30 artists from 5 festivals were filmed over 36 hours at Wilde Möhre’s festival site in Brandenburg, Germany.  Lusatia 2020 was organized and produced by 100+ volunteers, providing long-lasting visibility to the festivals and artists in this very limiting time.

Criz Steel was one of the pioneers in promoting the electronic music in Cyprus. He started in 1996 with radio shows as his first contact with the field and then moved into playing as resi-dent Dj in local clubs on a professional level. As he adored playing music, in 2003 he decided to move to Greece to study Dance Music production in SAE institute, Athens. His work port-folio includes some the most reputable local night clubs in Cyprus, most importantly in Ayia Napa. In addition, he had the opportunity to showcase his music in various places in Bulgar-ia, Greece and London. During his career to-date he played alongside various international Dj’s in Cyprus. In addition, he organised private parties in Cyprus to promote the electronic music, after he got his hands on the latest vinyl records hits he found from his travels abroad. 
What fascinates him the most, is finding innovative ways of approaching electronic music, by using the latest technological music advancements. Criz Steel made a pause in his career for 7 years due to family reasons but in 2019 he decided to return with a dynamic comeback to the music that he loves. - Resident Dj @datatransmission, @istreemradio, @LIKETHATUNDERGROUND
