Forgive me, the following are loose scratch notes I wrote while composing this on the evening of 4/29/23 in the span of about 11 hours straight. I was compelled to complete this for her. What follows are loose thoughts. I may or may not clean them up later-- I had to get this out as soon as possible. I regret taking this long, even. Here they are:

Original goal was 4m26s but the art got away from me. 4/26 was the day she was censured by subhuman scum.

I wrote this for you. I wrote this for all of us. When *I* couldn't speak when I was in
the Jesus cult, when I did as I was told, when I sat down and shut up and boiled and raged
but remained calm on the outside. You. What you did, what you're doing? I've lived it. I've
lived it with people just as reprehensible, disgusting, and savage. They simply wore different
masks and didn't have the privilege of pretty sounding words and "decorum".

I wrote this so you'll know we care. We adore you. We stand behind you. At least I do. And I know,
like many who begin sentences with conjunctions, that I'm not alone. Fuck the rules.

I have never met you. But through this work we connect. Because though we don't know each other,
in some form we do. Let this piece be heard when you cannot. Let this piece be a reminder of
what you fought for. Let this piece tell the story of how you felt-- how we all feel in this time.
Let this piece narrate your day on 4/26, the feelings you must have felt, the gritting rage all inside.
I felt it. Vicariously. Even if you did not. Many of us did. This was all I could do to sublimate, distill,
what have you, into a representative singularity capable of broadcast. Please hear this. Please.

Let this dissonance be heard. Just remember-- Your legacy has the last laugh. Not those fucks.

Breathing Room

Welcome! I am MeloBee. I wish to ceaselessly try to awaken the joy and beauty of laughter / thoughtfulness in those around me, even if they don't like me. Hate me if you choose, but I didn't choose to be this way and I love you regardless, whoever you are. Challenge your beliefs because you can always improve!

I am an extraordinarily difficult person to get along with, form any sort of interpersonal relationship with, and love. That's why I compose and write music! I'm very high functioning autistic to the point most don't realize it-- a result of being threatened to hide it as a child or face physical abuse. But whatever! I can almost always say more about how I feel or "see" things in my head with music than conversation or words. So here's where all that lives I guess :)

Life is, in fact, one big joke. Once you've seen the worst and understand how bad things can get? You're changed. The modern world seems like a simulation after that. And that's precisely what I am when you see me in person. A simulation of likable human being.

...Notice in none of that did I mention it's pointless. I may bash my head into the wall time and again but I'm not going to stop trying to get the delicious thing on the other side.

What does all this mean? Should be evident in the music ;)
