London-based duo Melody’s Enemy make their Phobiq debut with a stellar EP entitled “Open Your Eyes”. Evident from the outset is their attention to vocal work and their abilities in combining “song” writing within a dancefloor framework. The title track “Open Your Eyes” kicks off the release with feel good techno crunks and fizz in abundance, juxtaposed with an exquisite vocal track reminiscent of 60’s rock psychedelia. Next up is “Sermon“, a regal techno stepper with added soul. Layers of emotion and warmth intertwine with the vocal in beautiful melancholy. The EP finishes with “ What Kind Of Future?”. Futurism is a theme often embraced in techno, but with all the uncertainty in the world is it ever questioned just what kind of future that will be? Sonically this is a stark inquisition of our world future featuring dark, abrupt stabs, driving arps and thought-provoking vocal shots.

Melody’s Enemy is the moniker of British electronic music producer and DJ Andy Haeffele. 

Beginning as a duo with Morgan Jones the pair were a somewhat unorthodox pairing in modern Techno having honed their craft within the drum and bass scene, releasing and performing for many of its best labels such as Playaz, Ram and Metalheadz.

A reconvergence in 2015 saw them form Melody’s Enemy - a project designed to channel their shared ethos of ruggedness and “golden-era” d&b aesthetic into modern, cutting-edge techno. 

They were quickly spotted by Dense & Pika, and began releasing on their ground-breaking Kneaded Pains imprint. Surging forward ever since the pair have delivered a series of critically-acclaimed ep’s on Kneaded Pains, Phobiq and Of Unsound Mind.

Already respected for their production, Melody’s Enemy have since collaborated with Dense & Pika and Drumcode’s Vinicius Honorio on killer releases “From Nothing” and “Thrillseekers” respectively as well as crafting “Reach” alongside Balthazar & Jackrock - released on Terminal M and a mainstay in sets from Monika Kruse.  

They also teamed up with Croydon’s-favourite-son Skream to craft a 2 track EP that was quickly snapped up by Alan Fitzpatrick for release on We Are The Brave.

The Melody's Enemy sound was soon spotted by the respected Octopus Records head SIAN. A series of releases followed as well as a DJ residency on SIAN's popular Twitch channel.

2020 saw Morgan leave the act to focus on other business interests and Melody's Enemy as a solo act was born.

An In-demand producer and remixer, Melody's Enemy has gained extensive and continued support from names such as: Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Arjun Vagale, Chris Liebing, Dubfire, Tiga, Ramiro Lopez, Enrico Sangiuliano, Huxley and more.

Not just a producer Melody's Enemy is an experienced & accomplished performer with a DJ set incorporating live loops, percussion and unique sound pallets to compliment the cutting-edge music selection.

Ha formado parte de distintos ciclos contando con residencias en productoras como Energy o Underground.
Forma parte Underground UY y es co-fundador del sello Underground Records UY el cual cuenta con support de artistas como Marie Vaunt, Xenia, Bermio, Bultech, Giulia(it), Anela, Agustin Muller o Luca Napoli entre muchos otros.
Como DJ esto le da acceso a gran cantidad de tracks y colaboraciones exclusivas que puede explotar en la pista. 
Ha desarrollado un sonido que es mezcla de groove latino y una fuerte influencia del cosmic techno a la vez que una gran adaptabilidad a las necesidades de la pista.
Se ha presentado en varios de los clubes más importantes de la capital, además de recorrer distintos rincones del país apoyando la expansión del género y la cultura en el interior.
Tuvo la oportunidad de tocar en b2b con Spartaque además de compartir line con artistas como Brigado Crew o Sirene.

En enero de 2021 lanza su primer EP a través del sello Pure Dope Digital alcanzando el top 3 Best releases de hard techno.
Desde entonces se ha dedicado a pulir su producción y alimentar su sello habiendo publicado un EP y varios remixes para otros artistas.
