The Thirteen Flare

No one saw it coming or maybe everyone did, but refused to believe it. At precisely the same second across all thirteen universes, the skies broke open like shattered glass. Suns bled out. Worlds blinked and folded into themselves. Every device, every broadcast, every signal screamed the same message: “EVACUATE.”


But there was nowhere to run.

In the cities of Universe 7, towers fell sideways, and people ran into the smoke because running away made no difference anymore. News anchors kept speaking into dead microphones as their studios burned. Pilots reported stars falling like rain. The air became thick with electricity, and guilt. Something ancient had awakened.


The First Wave


The Creators had returned.

Chapter II – “Before the Last Child Fell”


The Quiet Between Worlds

After the skies tore open, there was silence. Not peace, just the heavy kind of quiet that follows too much screaming.


Entire planets had gone dark. Artificial suns spun out of orbit. Communications across the thirteen universes collapsed into static. But somewhere, deep beneath the fractured surface of Universe 9, a few thousand survivors huddled together in the wreckage of an old subway system, surrounded by humming generators and flickering lights.

They called it The Hollow. A city beneath a dead city.

This was where humanity began to remember what it meant to whisper instead of shout.


The Orphan’s Light

The story of the second song begins with a girl, a child with no name, no parents, and no memory of what the stars looked like before they burned. She wandered The Hollow carrying a broken radio she could not fix. Every night, she’d hold it close and twist the dial, searching for something that might sound like hope.

On the third night after the eruptions, the radio spoke back. Not in a voice she knew, but in a tone that seemed… kind.

“Don’t let them see your fear. Don’t cry until the last child falls.”


It was a message. Or maybe a prophecy.

Those who heard it began to believe that somewhere, somehow, there were still others out there. That the end was not absolute.


The Fall of Caladrex-9


Above ground, the city continued to crumble. The Order of Lightlessness declared the fall divine punishment and began executing anyone who dared to speak of rebuilding. The Harrowguard Legions, once protectors of worlds, fractured into warbands, scavenging weapons from dead fleets. And through the smoke, Creators watched in silence, silhouettes too large to be real, drifting like memories across the upper sky.

In one broadcast recovered from a damaged drone, a soldier is heard whispering through static:

“They’re not killing us. They’re… studying who survives.”


The words became the seed of rebellion.


The Mothers’ Pact

Back in The Hollow, the survivors made a vow.

They gathered every remaining child twenty seven in total and swore that even if the universe burned, these few would see another sunrise.


The pact became sacred.


The children were hidden, passed from one safe zone to another, protected by the newly formed group known as The Harrowguard Remnants.

Before The Hollow finally collapsed from bombardment, a single transmission escaped through the static. The same girl with the broken radio, now standing before the crumbling ceiling, spoke into the microphone:

“If you can hear me… we are still alive.

The skies took everything, but they did not take us.

Hold on. We’ll find a way to hide the light.”


The recording cut out seconds later.

But that final phrase "hide the light" became the foundation of everything that came after.

It was the spark that led to The Story of the Veil.

Chapter III – “Harrowlight War Anthem”


The Birth of the Harrowguard Remnants-

When the tunnels of The Hollow fell silent, not everyone perished.

Scattered across multiple dying worlds, fragments of the old Harrowguard military converged on one frequency, the same signal the orphaned girl had broadcast before the collapse.

Hide the light.”

Those three words became their creed.


From the ashes of countless broken armies, they rebranded themselves The Harrowguard Remnants.

No longer soldiers of empires, they became ghosts of rebellion.

Their armor was pieced together from burnt alloys and scavenged Creator tech.

Their weapons were handmade, unreliable, and ugly but they worked.

Their symbol, the split circle of light and void, was burned into their armor as both warning and prayer.

The Harrowlight Signal-

In orbit above a fractured moon of Universe 8, Commander Yalen Rho initiated what would later be known as the Harrowlight Protocol, a synchronized broadcast linking surviving outposts across multiple universes using stolen Creator frequency bands.


The idea was simple:

If the Creators could burn the skies, the Harrowguard would light their own.

Every surviving base, ship, and colony pointed their transmitters toward the void and fired coded bursts of golden light into the heavens, visible from any nearby world.

Each pulse was a heartbeat.

Each rhythm was a declaration: We still exist.
