to try and stave off music block i was working on covers of dark world from LTTP and launch base zone from sonic 3 at the same time. at a certain point i realized the songs sound kind of similar to each other and might be fun to put together. love doing these mashup covers, always a fun exercise. 

i know i havent posted a song in like 5 months, and i assure you that is because ive been extremely busy doing the absolute bare minimum of college work, playing dark souls, and brooding as i take lonely walks around the city, like tyler durden or batman or some shit.

a commission for @nununoisy! he wanted an FDS cover of this classic from kirby and the forgotten land, and since i've been meaning to cover a song from this game for ages i naturally jumped at the chance. i'm really happy with how the FDS FM synths turned out!

Written for the monthly Button Masher Discord compo - where the theme was to write a coffee shop song for the SNES! Lots of cool entries were made, I hope the others post them on their social media!

Most of the samples are self-sampled sources, from various synths and VSTs I own - the radio chatter in the BG here comes from me sampling some Romanian radio, talking about football (soccer) scores - heavily manipulated to sound even more otherwordly!
