Melotronics project has been formed by three musicians with similar musical visions and ideas known as Max Shifty (Music Producer, DJ), Dmitry Raytem (Music Producer, PR Manager) and Alex Rockit (Instrumentalist). They began individual careers in electronic dance music in 1998 but have combined in a band in the end of 2009. Melotronics way of production formed under the influences from various styles of music to create a new unique sound, in general from drum&bass and drumstep (halftime) to synthwave/cyberpunk and it's difficult to describe in one word. Some pure authentic electro, epic trancey atmosphere, robotic vocoders, catchy lyrics and easy shades of dramatic 80s vibe are main features of own tracks and DJ sets they are doing. Since 2010 began to publish the Melotronics Showcase podcast strictly about electro and trance sounding in drum&bass. From the beginning till nowadays they have let out the bunch of releases on their own label Melotronic Recordings as well on Beta Recordings (UK), Nu Electro (UK), Midnight Sun Recordings (FI), Dubline Records (USA), Kill Inc D&B (USA), Kos.Mos.Music (RU), WOW Signal Records (RU) and did official remixes for John B, Electrosoul System, Gmorozov, Freakatronic.

Melotronic Recordings is the digital internet label the first in Russia focused on 80s, electro, robopunk and trance sounding in drum&bass. It was founded by two musicians Maksim Shifteee and Dmitry Raytem in St. Petersburg in the middle of 2008. At first label was created as a platform for publishing only own music by Shifteee and Raytem, but for now there are many tracks and upcoming releases by other artists such as Implex, Cube, Liquilade, Plater... 

The basic distinctive feature of works presented on label Melotronic is presence of the powerful melodic part executed in electro/trancy moods, sometimes with easy shades of  "dramatic character" of songs of 80th years. And other component of sounding of the label is collaboration of the different robot voxes, groovy synthesizers and 8bit samples.
