Xxhe or Ж is an ice composer, vocalist, sound artist, serrulate sonancer, performance artist, poet, bending shape dancer, martial artist, experimental opera borner, and groundbreaking creator from San Francisco.

Known for writing a "strange-tundra" opera at the age of seventeen using the sounds of wind, ice, orchestral instruments, and the human voice, Xxhe styled a new genre and continues to invent new ways to write music.

The founder of the “Dialect Halls of Ж: the rooms to sonancers, movists and zuo dialects,” a collective which curates unusual and intimate performances, Xxhe is a gatherer of musicians, performing story-heavy dance pieces to their original compositions in both above and underground places - never without an extraterrestrial flare and a drop of otherworldliness.

Emerging from Seattle’s vibrant and diverse dance music scene, Alfonso Tan has not only conquered local dance floors but has been leaving his mark on cities across the US. With dance floor weapons released on Late Night Munchies, Uniting Souls Music, Cartel Collective, and Build It Records, he’s proven his ability to seamlessly blend his personal style with classic house grooves and techy cutting-edge sounds. He’s rocked a wide range of events: from festival stages to underground after-hours parties to sun-soaked discos and everything in between. Heavyweights like VNSSA, Moon Boots, Sage Armstrong, and DJ Minx are some of the names he’s played alongside, and he’s crushed venues in major cities like New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and even Antwerp. Alfonso Tan’s storied experience as a DJ shines through in his productions, and he is eager to share these with the world.

Sager first stepped behind the decks in Southern California around 2000, cutting his teeth on vinyl. As part of the Santa Barbara Word of Mouth collective, he helped throw legendary full moon parties in the mountains—free-spirited gatherings where the music flowed as freely as the good vibes. There, under the stars, he learned the craft by watching scene-shaping DJs like Cumulus, Dark Messiah, Saro, Jeigh Baldwin, and Mouse.

In the pre-social media era, drum & bass was an even more underground, tightly knit culture. Sager made regular pilgrimages to Respect in LA and the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice parties, where talent from across the West Coast converged. By the late 2000s, he was rocking underground parties in Florida and Georgia, always with the same mission: share beautiful, high-energy, melodic music that moves people.

That passion started long before turntables—since the early ’90s, he was making mixtapes off the radio, later graduating to burning mix CDs for friends. If you’ve known him a while, chances are you’ve got one.

Now based in the SF East Bay, Sager is best known for drum & bass, but he’s just as at home dropping breakbeats, progressive, tech, or stutter house. His sets have lit up FnF, FRC, Burning Man, Heavy Petting Zoo, and more. He’s a sucker for kinetic dance remixes of classic tracks, and his favorite genre? All of them—if it makes you dance, it’s coming in hot.
