'I Wanna Be Your Dog, Boy' is P.E.'s playful and seductive take on some of punk's most iconic songs about love and lust. 

We started working on cover songs in preparation for the tour dates to support our debut LP Person. “I Wanna Be Your Dog” was the first one we attempted - there’s something appealingly perverse about covering one of the most-covered songs of all time - and it was also the last song we worked on together in a room for many months.  With the cancellations and separations imposed by the pandemic, we threw ourselves into remote writing & recording.  The covers were a nice palette cleanser; a creative way to play with sound before committing to the next full-length. “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” is the first fruit of our remote recording labor, the perfect foil and flip-side of desire to “I Wanna Be Your Dog.”  We hope to someday perform these in person as intended, but for now we offer these up to your solitary listening pleasure.

We dedicate these songs to all those looking for a special cutie(s) in the midst of a global pandemic; we hope you find some sweetness. - P.E.

Glasgow’s Baby Strange take a steadfast, creative, all-encompassing approach to music as an artform and have carved out an almost cult like status for themselves within the underground UK music scene. Latest single ‘More! More! More!’ is as anthemic as it is raw. It sees vocalist and guitarist Johnny Madden reflecting upon time spent listening through “paper thin walls” to house parties fuelled by class A’s and terrible music. “It’s essentially a commentary on a generation that’s stuck in its ways & doesn’t want to grow up,” he says, and continues "It’s 1997 forever and they’re not leaving any time soon. Usually I wouldn’t care but my neighbours are keeping me up at night with their terrible music and self centered chat, so I’ve written a song about it. If you see this Alex, this ones for you."

Its driving, bass heavy guitars and four to the floor drums are encased in a melody that will see heads nodding in the mainstream & pits started in the underground. The track is out now via Swedish independent label Icons Creating Evil Art, in a new union that celebrates a shared vision & resolute, creative determination.

Fronted by the magnetic & alluring Johnny Madden and rounded out by brothers Connaire & Aidan McCann, Baby Strange are about to set out their stall and re-establish themselves as one of the most innovative and uncompromising outfits in the UK.
