Austrian imprint @LuvShackRecords starts a new chapter in 2018 by welcoming Irish House and Techno afficionado and Misfit resident Andrew Johnston AKA @Moodtrax with his own-brand of super warm, brooding sounds to their stable. Featuring 3 originals and a remix by Berliner duo Longhair.

'Running Number' starts as a no-nonsense house track, carried by a beefy unisono bassline and a 16th note heavy drum pattern, yet it trancsends into 80s territory with the help of a deeply emotional chord progression that might just make you forget you're in a club. Longhair dig deep into that chord progression and build a melody and synth-bell infused italo-house track around it that should make this years festival crowd weep and rejoice alike.

The summer months always enable the Futureboogie label clan to recharge batteries (whenever possible), hit the festival circuit with aplomb, and pull out another Summer Riot EP, and, as ever, a team of the label’s favourite producers are assembled to deliver the goods.

Christophe leads the charge with the decidedly bleepy ‘Unity Vibez’, channelling the old school Sheffield sound through a myriad of breakbeats, floating keys, techno DX bass and spiralling melodies for a track that’s just as much in the present as it is in the past.

Already with two Futureboogie singles under his belt, Kiwi makes a sterling contribution to the seventh Summer Riot EP with ‘Abaco’. The electro tinged beats and rasping synth lead menacingly unfurl as a transcendental melody plays out over this distinctly potent track.

Neil Diablo completes the EP with the Italo driven ‘Shot Caller’; thick arpeggiated synths coil around beefed up drums as percussive elements get a good reverb soaking, intense and highly infectious stuff from Monsieur Diablo here!

The remix by Azaria slows it down a little with a hypnotic appregiated bassline and the James Rod remix takes it down a slightly darker route!

Catz'N Dogz underground outlet STEP is well known for giving space to some of the most eclectic artists to showcase their infinite talents. The label so far has released the likes of Baltra, DJ Steaw, Eduardo De La Calle, Analogue Roland Orchestra and Panthera Krause to name but a few and this summer is ready to drop yet another huge record, coming from usual suspect Das Komplex.

The Polish producer already figures amongst the artists to have given music to STEP but his music is also showing up on DJ Harvey's' Mercury Rising' compilation, Oficyna Transatlantyk,Mireia Records and has been played by the likes of the late great Andrew Weatherall, Axel Boman and many more. 'Miazsz' EP comprises of 5 groove-driven, relentless down tempo and dreamy cuts, showcasing the wide musical knowledge and the diversely inspired aesthetic of Das Komplex' sonic textures. The idea behind the challenge being to set yourself limitations as a producer - be that time, or only using certain software/equipment - and to finish the arrangement completely.

The amount of stellar remixes we received was astounding and hence we've arrived at this point, a compilation of all those amazing remixes being released on the label with all profits going to NHS Charities Together.

After a hiatus which saw lots of writing, producing, performing + the arrival of a new child we're mega excited to announce a brand new E.P. from the electronic synth driven wizkids that are the Night Giants! 3 brand new productions that have been road tested at live gigs (remember those?) before lockdown and fine tweaked in the studio to be presented in all their laser reaching glory..

The title track thunders out the gate at warp speed and ticks all the house-techno-(dare we say it) trance elements...simple in its approach before smacking you around the head with a mitsubishi shaped shot of adrenaline.

Tremble makes you do just that, with a broken beat alongside soaring pads & chords along with dream state like vocals and plenty of synth arps & stabs make this an absolute peak time piece of greatness. When we can hug each other again we guarantee this will be the top of your set list/playlists.

Twist & Drop hops back on the 'heads down in a smokey basement' gravy train and thunders the party to a close with almost old school style bass rumbles and a break down to raise hands too...big indeed!

Night Giants - Twist & Drop (Paper Street Soul Remix)

Flash Atkins has got The In Crowd off the back catalogue shelf, dusted it off and passed it on to some of his favourite producers for a re-rub.

Originally released on one of Paper's sister labels We Are Woodville, The In Crowd takes a Roxy Music sample and uses it as the bedrock for a peak time cosmic disco banger. Fully road tested on boat parties in Croatia, the breakdown has been certified as highly flammable.

Man about town and son of Bolton, Chris Massey flexes his late night production muscles. The extended sample rides rock solid beats and squelchy bass as the track locks in for serious dancefloor business.

From Beyond keeps the big room cosmic vibe with added guitar, acid and lots of reverb. It is warehouse disco house at its finest.

The Soundersons keep the original intact but pitches it down and adds some disco swing. It comes off like chopped and screwed, drugged up disco for those moments when things get weird.
