Amarcord debut for Me Me Me this March with ‘Age Of Intimacy’ featuring a remix from Running Back alum, Alan Dixon.  After well-received releases on labels such as Ombra International, Correspondant, ROAM and AEON, Italy's Amarcord kicks off 2021 with a new EP on Man Power's Me Me Me label including a remix from Love Attack boss Alan Dixon. Amarcord is just at the beginning of his exploration into the sonic world with ‘Age Of Intimacy’ showcasing his flair for producing dynamic, synth-driven tracks influenced by the cosmic quirks of the 80s.

Back at the start of lockdown, label boss Man Power set the challenge to remix a track he created that day in 2 hours.

The idea behind the challenge being to set yourself limitations as a producer - be that time, or only using certain software/equipment - and to finish the arrangement completely.

The amount of stellar remixes we received was astounding and hence we've arrived at this point, a compilation of all those amazing remixes being released on the label with all profits going to NHS Charities Together.

Party curator, dancefloor general and more recently label manager Luke Scott has influenced the nightlife scene in Newcastle in a number of ways since moving in 2010. As an artist he is known primarily for his work for Ape-X and has enjoyed a healthy string of gigs, opening for the likes of Sweely, Eris Drew, Octo Octa and Nicolas Lutz. Over the past few years Luke has certainly grown into the role of opening a club night and has found the balance between pushing his own sound whilst setting the vibe for the night.

Since joining in 2014, he has help grow Ape-X into the most significant dance music institution in the North East. Although it has gained a national reputation and recognition from DJ Mag for its parties, collaborations and now record label, it enjoys real grass roots support from ravers and the dance music community at large. Luke admits that they pride themselves on curating forward thinking lineups with DJs who don't necessarily fall in the same genre but find a happy medium. 

With the successful launch of the Ape-X label, Luke has now taken over the role of head of Me Me Me Recordings. Two very different projects in terms of size and sound , however the same proposed outcome of promoting high quality dance music. This is something that Luke has certainly shown he can do over the years. We recently caught up to discuss the plans for both labels, his take on socially distanced parties, the change of mindsets for students and healthy lifestyle changes.

We're not saying that Club Tularosa are the golden boys of Me Me Me, but they're the only act who got booked to DJ at both label owner Man Power's wedding and his 40th Birthday party.
Based in Los Angeles, Lionel and Ray have honed an infectious and party-starting sound that takes in serious references like New Wave, Post Punk, and the 80's proto house synth experiments of Anne Clarke, Yazoo and Depeche Mode, but never makes the mistake of taking them too seriously.
Their DJing style is as varied as it is energetic and is now winning them a loyal following in the US and around the world after tours of Mexico and Europe in late 2019 and early 2020. 
As skilled in the studio as they are in the booth, Pyramids is rather unbelievably only the second ever EP by the duo, after releasing a slew of of incredibly well loved remixes in the the 12 months since their debut release on Me Me Me last year, which saw the tracks Starlight Ceremony and Kenji both become bona fide club hits and a firm favourite of distinct DJs such as HAAi, Keinemusic and CC Disco.

Bristol based DJ, club promoter and producer,
Chez de Milo, readies his debut release, and
Futureboogie’s first release of 2021, with the ‘Bushwa’ EP.
Smagghe & Cross (AKA Ivan Smagghe and Rupert
Cross) join the party with an epic Version of the title track.

On ‘Bushwa’, warming CR-78 drums initiate a bubbling
blend of groaning pads, melodic keys and gated vocals as
Chez de Milo crafts a solemn yet addictive 5am moment.
Smagghe & Cross stretch things out over ten minutes with
their tantalising Version of ‘Bushwa’ that quite literally
features a commercial break midway before motoring back
up to chugging speed. Cosmically charged this most
definitely is!

Elsewhere on this prolific debut release, ‘Mantella’ features
a smorgasbord of spacey riffs, splashy drums and
idiosyncratic vocals, whilst ‘Golden Ratio’ wraps things up
with an esoteric piece of bleepy, ambient house that is
designed to feed your mind as much as for your feet.

Man Power’s Me Me Me imprint had yet another impressive year in 2020 which included releases from the likes of Last Magpie, Marske, Club Tularosa, in addition to further outings on the sub-label Ape-X and the ‘Remixes by Man Power (2013-2016)’ compilation. This latest chapter entitled ‘Batbox’ sees London-born DJ-producer Maxxi Soundsystem who is known for releases on Moda Black, Culprit and Ellum Audio, join forces with Bristol-based DJ, producer and Futureboogie artist Christophe, who makes his return to Me Me Me for the first time since his ‘Rok The Hall/Like That’ EP back in 2019.
