What’s good friends 😌. 
Bringing you all a little somethin today from my heart and soul to soothe your minds and brighten your days. This mix includes a whole lot of lofi/jazzy/instrumental hip-hop from the likes of Nujabes, Ta-ku, and Tom Misch to bring a calm and steady vibe that’s great for studying and relaxation. 
I love listening to music all the time, but I noticed if I ever play it in the background while doing schoolwork I get distracted really easily, especially when a song has lyrics. I came across this sound in 2015 during my senior year of high school and it’s gotten me through tons of papers, reading, and studying in my college years since then. It creates a perfect blend of instrumental and background noise, keeping me focused on whatever task at hand while giving me the chance to groove to a beat every once in a while.
This one goes out to everyone who loves music but has shit they need to do. It’s finals szn for many of us, so I wanted to give you something that helps you concentrate but also gets you moving whenever you need to take a study break. Hope you enjoy❗️

Just wanted to share something from the heart, during these crazy and heavy times. It is in these moments where we see the best and worst in humanity. We’re seeing violence, injustice and pain, coupled with huge acts of courage from protestors, essential workers and everyday people. It can be difficult to process or even know how to respond to everything. For me, I’m slowly realizing that it is important for me to continue speaking on everything that’s going on, but also using my voice to bring healing to the people around me. While we can’t change the world overnight, we can all do whatever it is we are called to do, and make a difference if even in the smallest of ways. I’m reminded over and over again that nothing is promised, we don’t know what tomorrow holds but while we are here, let’s continue to do the work, heal, and love the people around us. Vulnerability.  It leaves us exposed and open to be wounded by criticism, but maybe by dropping our defenses we get stronger and we see ourselves and the world more clearly.  Maybe we should run towards and not away from vulnerability?
