Our latest mix is now online with number 186 welcoming Jon10, founder of Limerick-based Irish collective Izotope.

Bursting onto the Irish electronic early in 2020, he has established himself as an interdisciplinary artist unafraid to branch out beyond the trope of promoting and running a label. This ambition has landed him the title of one of the driving forces behind the post-pandemic revival of rave culture in the southwest of Ireland.

As the first part of our first birthday celebration, Grounded number 28 invites Dublin based and Irish Techno Label Variance's head honcho Luke Creed with his alias 'Scenedrone'. Producing for over 10 years and DJing for the past 8, his experiences have  lead him to craft his own distinct sound which is also expressed through his label that has featured artists such as Paul Birken, Keepsakes, Mael and Ansome to mention a few with the latest release 005 expected to be out in the near future!

frantzMichael is a vinyl-only DJ and is based in Nuremberg. He has been an essential part of the Let it be Techno (LITB) collective since 2019 and, as of this year, is also a founder and member of the Rauch. collective. His musical journey has already taken him to perform at Staub in about:blank in Berlin.

His vinyl sets are characterized by powerful, rhythmic, and often hypnotic techno that opens our techno chakra.

In the vibrant tapestry of electronic music, Milos, known by his moniker der KØCH, emerges as a maestro of rhythm and sonic landscapes. Born in Serbia and nurtured in the heart of Italy, his journey through music is a testament to his unwavering passion and relentless pursuit of sonic perfection.

From the earliest days of his youth, Milos exhibited an insatiable curiosity for music. His hands found solace on the drums and bongo, their beats echoing the rhythm of his heart. As he delved deeper into the world of sound, his love for tribal, ambient, and minimal compositions grew like a harmonious crescendo.

At the tender age of 15, Milos embarked on a fateful visit to an electronic music club—a moment that forever altered the course of his life. Enchanted by the hypnotic allure of electronic beats, he decided to tread the path of a DJ, a journey that would unravel before him like a musical odyssey.

For the next nine years, Milos honed his craft, gracing the stages of the most illustrious venues in his province. These formative years were marked by tireless dedication and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He experimented tirelessly, infusing tribal and minimal sounds with the textures of environmental ambiance, forging a unique auditory identity.

At the age of 25, he took a leap of faith, founding the Party Invasion crew. Becoming its resident DJ, Milos shared the stage with renowned artists on the national circuit, leaving indelible impressions with his evolving sonic tapestries.

With each passing year, his musical horizons expanded, pushing him toward deeper, more intense rhythms. A fateful move to Berlin opened doors to an underground world of Techno—an arena pulsating with melodic and bass-driven sounds that resonated with his soul.

In Berlin, he shared the decks with international luminaries and local talents alike, weaving intricate soundscapes alongside artists like Funk D'void for which he also made a Remix called Phoenix released on Red Section Records.
Johaness Volk, Millhouse, BBdeng, Ogi, Pet Duo Adrian Morrisson, and many more. His immersion in the Berlin music scene solidified his place as a resident of the SYNTHESIS Party—a testament to his ability to transmute sonic energy into immersive experiences.

Today, der KØCH continues to enchant audiences in Berlin's most iconic venues, from the gritty charm of Suicide Club to the underground depths of Nacht Vogel. His beats, now a rhythmic manifestation of his musical evolution, resonate through Burgschnabel, Mensch Meier,M01, Lauschangriff ,Binu and numerous open-air gatherings.

In the pulsating heart of Berlin's electronic music scene, Milos aka der KØCH remains a sonic explorer, a curator of soundscapes that transcend boundaries, and a testament to the enduring power of music to connect souls across cultures and continents.

Rishka loves to deliver proper punchy raw, mental and tribal Techno at a fast pace with lots of percussive patterns, hypnotic elements with a dystopian touch and bouncy, driving basslines. 
His carefully and passionately curated Sets tell a story and invite the crowd to surrender to the sound, let go and dance without worrying about a single thing.
He constantly makes sure to adjust his play style to suit the playtime and the whole party, while still staying true to his signature sound.

Rishka is a 20 year old, queer artist, who has felt a deep connection to electronic music ever since his childhood. His experience in dancing to various musical genres as well as his overall musicality represent a strong positive influence on his skills for selecting and mixing unique techno sets. 
He Is deeply inspired by the origins of the techno and queer club scene and his goal is to keep the true spirit of proper techno alive, and to pass it on to the next generations.

In her short but remarkable career, Ana Völk (half german and half Honduran) has established herself as one of the leading promoters in Honduras and as a key figure in the new generation of local DJs.
Recently, she has begun projecting herself internationally with performances in Costa Rica with Music4Ninjas (Mambo Club and El Spot), Nicaragua with Deepilto (Hotel Curuba Inn), Guatemala with Groove Town (Nativos Club, Xela), and El Salvador alongside Octa Concept (Estadio Cuscatlán), marking a new chapter in her rising artistic journey. 
Her sound stands out for a musical selection that navigates between Techno, Acid, and House, blending raw energy with elegance in every set. She is recognized for powerful basslines, evocative vocals, and rhythmic percussion that create an immersive and hypnotic experience on the dance floor.
She has also shared the stage with renowned international artists such as Flo Masse, Pink Concrete, Julia Govor, Didier DLB, Rach, Alexis Cabrera, Rob Alanz, Ben Spalding, John ESE, as well as outstanding talents from the Central American region.

Ana is the co-founder of The Beat Lab, a YouTube channel featuring DJ mixes from around the world, best known for its “Mix It” sessions.

Naamaa is a techno devotee whose journey began on the dancefloor. Rooted in Detroit founding Techno and evolving into Teknocraft, she celebrates witchy, hypnotic rituals and sound minimalism within subconscious and dramatic soundscapes woven together through Techno as a primordial unifying force. Played at Oddity- Temple- Aux. She is an Athens techno hub, Groovepulse and Erdgeist resident and founder of Erdgeist. Sound and Techno specifically hold the sacred key, every performance is a mass and every DJ set is an invitation to daydream and dance with no illusion of separation.

15 - RVDE

After being around for about 5 years, RVDE has just released their 2nd release on OVERDRAW, with a massive rmx by VSK, who shares the stage several times lately. This record comes after another big one on PLS.UK, who bring them to London's infamous Jaded afterparty regularly and got them 2 reedits by MANNI DEE and UMWELT.
They collected also three features on different 12" V/A (Overdraw, Drec, Mindcut) in the last months and they're ready for a bang of releases in the next year such a new 12" on german label COUNTERWEIGHT (which has invited them to play at their party in Munich recently) that will include two reworks by founder GONZO MDF and INHALT DER NACHT + ECHOES OF OCTOBER, and a couple of V/A on vinyl, both first releases for new labels IRON CURTAIN and ISMUS. Last scheduled project is a rmx for RE_P that will be out in cd on his label ARCHETYPE.
Beginning of 2019 will host RVDE playing in Berlin and Munich, while after playing in venues like TRESOR, KHIDI, parisian biggest rave CONTRAST residency in the last years, the last gig for 2018 will be this weekend in Lyon @ LE TRANSBORDEUR.
