The Nearest Exit

Zozaya is a group of MUSIC (in capital letters) lovers. Our ears have nourrished from a very eclectic range of sounds, allowing us to approach music without any prejudice. Our eagerness is to transfer to the physical format what music means for us. Hence, we care to the maximum about our designs and we go exclusively for the vinyl, which in our opinion personifies a special way of respecting the artist and her art.

A monthly radio programme on Soundart Radio celebrating the understated,  electronic underground, with the music and artists connected in some shape or form to the labels: cotton goods, moteer, mobeer and the family that orbit around them.

The original series of shows ran from 2011 to 2018 and, after a two-year hiatus, returned to Soundart in July 2020.

PS. The image is from a picture I bought in a restaurant / art gallery in Ejsberg, Denmark back in about 2006/7.   Can't remember who the artist was, apart from the intials SB  So if anyone does know her/him, then please say thank you on my behalf.
The original painting is called 'The Concert' by Gerhard Terborch (1617-1681)and depicts af girl playing viola da gamba and harpsichord. 17th century, early Baroque.

Memory Drawings is the beguiling, instrumental project of Minneapolis raised, Morocco-based hammered dulcimer player Joel Hanson, erstwhile Hood guitarist/multi-instrumentalist and sometime Declining Winter main-man Richard Adams, Brave Timbers violinist Sarah Kemp alongside Hood's Gareth S Brown and Chris Cole (Manyfingers/Movietone). Debut album 'Music For Another Loss' was released on Second Language in 2012 followed by 'There Is No Perfect Place' on Hibernate in 2014. Their new album 'The Nearest Exit' is out on Zozaya/Signal in September 2017.
