“Sun Sets” is an instrumental piece I wrote while processing my grandfather’s passing. It’s built on guitar and piano with some ambient textures, and to me it feels like the journey of a spirit, gently returning home. Hope it brings some peace to whoever listens.

Night

fouled off or a towel drop
runnin my mouth, i got got
yes sir, you’re the boss
but shit's shot, you should surely cut your losses

it’s mornin four o’clock
but not there it’s not
a dull mull, for what?
you're still stuck at a stop

undone, yet like a knot

I was just about to walk out the house and I catch the food smokin
usually I don't forget. So I grab the towel and I wave the smoke around
I tie my shoes and I try to leave the house

And when I find the keys I close the door
And then I get outside. There's a man
He's walking up and down the platform
Up and down up and down
up and down the platform bla bla
waiting for the 12 o'clock train
I wonder what he's thinking about
and so does everybody else
but nobody wants to ask 
so we all stay quiet
