Here's our latest single entitled 'Gentle Neglect'. The writing of this song originally began with a riff provided by our ex-lead guitarist who is sadly no longer in the band. He's still out there playing so if anyone wants a guitarist for their band, check him out!

‘Ha Ha Haf’ yw sengl gyntaf Omaloma, cân hafaidd a seciadelig a fydd yn cael ei rhyddhau gan Recordiau Cae Gwyn ar 15/04/2016 (Sengl Ddigidol).

Prosiect newydd George Amor o Benmachno yw Omaloma. Ynghyd â chwarae’r gitar bas i Palenco, mae George yn un o sylfaenwyr Sen Segur, band seicadelig o Benmachno.

Cafodd y sengl ei recordio gan Llyr Pari yn Stiwdio Glanllyn, Melin y Coed, Dyffryn Conwy. Mae George yn chwarae’r piano ac yn canu ar y trac, wrth i Llyr gyfrannu â’r drymiau, gitar a gitar bas.  Geraint Jones o Ninja Sound wnaeth y gwaith mastro ar gyfer y gân.

Mae Omaloma hefyd wedi recordio sesiwn stiwdio i raglen C2 Georgia Ruth ar BBC Radio Cymru, ynghyd â chyfrannu’r trac ‘Lutra’ i albwm amlgyfrannog ddiweddar Recordiau Cae Gwyn, sef Swooshed.

Mae band byw Omaloma yn cynnwys Daf Owain (gitar bas), Gruff ab Arwel (gitar ac allweddellau), Llyr Pari (drymiau) a George yn chwarae’r allweddellau ac yn canu.

The summery psychedelic ‘Ha Ha Haf’ (English – ‘Ha Ha Summer’) is Omaloma’s debut single, released on Cae Gwyn Records on 15/04/2016 (download single).

Omaloma is the new project of Penmachno’s George Amor.  As well as playing bass for Palenco, George is also a founder member of Penmachno psyche band Sen Segur.  

The single was recorded by Llyr Pari at Glan Llyn studio, Melin Y Coed, Dyffryn Conwy.  George plays piano and sings on the track, whilst Llyr contributed drums, guitar and bass. Mastered by Geraint Jones @ Ninja Sound.  

Omaloma has also recorded a studio session for Georgia Ruth’s C2 BBC Radio Cymru program, as well as contributing a track (‘Lutra’) to the recent Cae Gwyn Records compilation album, ‘Swooshed’.

The Omaloma live line up consists of Daf Owain (bass), Gruff ab Arwel (guitar and keyboards), Llyr Pari (drums), with George on keyboards and vocals.

My Mine

'The Flood' is the latest release from Desert Fevers. It takes a drastic step in a new direction for the band. Holding back on the garage rock roots the band was built on, this song is an easy going psych pop melody written of love found and lost on the tranquil beaches of Thailand.

The Flood

With the first note you hear from Phalcons you realise that they could not have formed in any other part of the world apart from North Wales. They possess its rugged, yet magically mysterious mountains and rippling rivers in their very being and in every sound they create.

Already veterans from previous bands of the flourishing psychedelic pop/folk scene, that is synonymous with the area, Phalcons’ four members offer something familiar, yet challengingly new. They take influences from an array of diverse artists, from Chris Cohen and Courtney Barnett to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

Phalcon's dreamy and emotionally pure sound can be found distilled perfectly into their debut single, ‘Idle Ways‘. Even when writing about our darker instincts and fragmented dreams Phalcons songs find beauty in the rubble love leaves behind.
 
'Idle Ways' is love found, love lost and love squandered through drifting emotions and distance, both physical and imagined. The song starts with the rush and excitement of sleepless neon nights and hazy glimpses through nocturnal living 'I try to see you through the smoke in the crowd'. This new found love eventually succumbs to the authors 'idle ways' before he pleads. "Get up wash away the haze, get out and embrace the day". The song leaves you with a sense of a new start, a new turning, a new sound to enthral and captivate out hearts through the sadness.
