This episode features a wide-ranging conversation with Montreal’s Roger Tellier-Craig, known for his work with Fly Pan Am, Godspeed, Le Révélateur and others. In 2019, Fly Pan Am released C'est ça, their first record in 15 years, but their 2020 tour plans were derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Tellier-Craig discusses his fascination with music as a studio art, the unexpected creative opportunities presented by quarantine, and the hyperreality of our present in which our fragile sense of reality seems poised to collapse at any moment.

The EP contains 6 ambient drone tracks influenced by the emotions and sensations of the artist who wanted to express his mood through dark and deep atmospheres by recreating mystical soundscapes.
In this release XIV Orchestral wants to tell a story made of personal moments that don't find a happy ending but that for better or for worse cannot be forgotten...
They have been used Korg ms-20 mini and Elektron Analog Four for most of the low frequencies, Massive VST for atmospheres and noise textures, some field recordings from Zoom h4n.
Main fx plugins: Valhalla VintageVerb, FreqEcho and Tal Chorus Lx.

Using a specially composed text and sound, alienlike sensational subjectivities of human/tick transspecies encounters are explored, as inseparable from their environment-ing worlds and the ticks microbial cargos. Cross-kingdom relations are conducted via tick sensing of molecular, chemical phrases by which we betray our presence, through secreted volatile signatures.

Arachnid - Tick sensing was inspired by the uncanny sonic textures developed by Antye Greie (AGF) who edited and mastered the TICK TALKs podcasts, her sound work I vs us, Kyla Schuller’s essay The Microbial Self: Sensation and Sympoiesis', and other readings.

In collaboration with Scott King, we celebrate the appearance, in 1984, at the height of the Miners Strike, the appearance on C4' The Tube of The Redskins - the greatest punk/soul band of that era. Of any era

The band ripped through 2 fierce tracks - but it was most memorable for a speech by a striking miner - Norman Strike. You could see him spitting out his words with a passion. You just couldnt hear him. The mic had been switched off. It was, afterall, 1984

You hear the speech at the beginning of this tape - then we have musical interpretation from Autumns, Blue 0161, Laudanum, Richard Vergez & Halfnelson
