Gil Scott Heron nous a quitté en 2011. Sa musique et son message nous ont marqué à jamais. 
A l'annonce de son décès nous avons écrit et enregistré en une nuit un morceau hommage nommé « A place for you ! ». 
Rejoints par des proches et amis musiciens concernés, sur un riff de « Inner City Blues » de Marvin Gaye, nous chantons un refrain hommage à Gil Scott Heron et lui empruntons un texte extrait de « I Think I'll Call It Morning ».

Curtis' last show before a terrible accident.. On August 14, 1990, he became paralyzed from the neck down when a lighting rig fell on top of him at a concert in Brooklyn, NY. 

He died December 26, 1999 at the age of 57. One of America's
musical genius' gone too soon. Amazingly, this show was captured 
on a cassette recorder. I've remastered this unreal version of his 
classic "Billy Jack" and hope you enjoy.

Feeling Good

Recorded live at the KCRW presents "An Evening with Gilles Peterson" live radio show at Sonos Studio on the evening of May 23rd, 2013.  It was hosted by Jason Bentley and featured special guest appearances by Om'Mas Keith and Shafiq Husayn of Sa-Ra Creative Partners, Egon, Seu Jorge, The Decoders and many others.  

During the Decoders set, Seu Jorge joined the band in an impromptu rendition of his previously recorded cover of Roy Ayers' classic hit "Everybody Loves The Sunshine" 

Here is a portion of the magic captured from that evening.  Enjoy!
