Different arts help express one another suggesting that art is indeed life itself. Every form of art expresses emotion, making what's normally unseen or heard physical. These tangible translations of the inner appeal to the people, relating to individual circumstance. Although we might be drawn to the arts for different reasons, we are all faced with a common choice concerning how we would like to feel. Simple as this is, we can easily overlook how our choices dictate the direction of our lives and our art.         
Regardless of one's decision we continue the same vibrations that inspire us through our contributions, negative or positive. Our realities are created based on how we gather information, our emotions, and how we allow these things to affect us. Since action is governed by emotion and ultimately freewill, art too embodies identical mind states or energy. This energy effects not only the well-being of the artist, but the audience as well. With the belief that art's purpose is to be a source of nourishment for the soul it echoes in harmony from artist to instrument, to viewer. 
I would like these efforts to help continue a spirit of inspiration and peace of mind as they do for myself. Thank you for listening to music, and thank you for creating music. Also, thank God for giving us this gift..

Lyric Versatile – In a city where it is tough to find MC’s who are open with their own personal experiences, “Lyric” has found a way to bridge the gap between honesty with his own trials and tribulations, a high velocity vocal delivery, and a captivating live performance. 
Since 1996, Lyric Versatile has continued to hone his skills by performing at various open mics, and shows, throughout the Midwest region. Chicago’s Subterranean (which boasts the most influential hip hop open mic night since 1998) has been the place where he has earned most of his notoriety. Some of his major influences include Black Star, Busta Rhymes, The Fugees, Pharcyde, and Chicago’s own, Common. By combining all of his influences, and years worth of life experience, Lyric’s debut album ‘Transactions Thru Hip Hop Transfers’ will be released on Lucky Break Records in early July 2010. 
The lead-off single “Say & Do” from the forthcoming album, ‘Transactions Thru Hip Hop Transfers’, draws on the overall theme. From the MC’s life experiences, to people he’s met, and places he’s been, Hip Hop has always brought him through to the other side. It has been his transfer in this thing we call “life transit.” With each occurrence, he has gleaned the lesson. Even when he was unable to express everything face-to-face, he found a pen, some paper, and spent the last five years getting to this point.
Lyric Versatile has seen himself go from boy, to MC, to Man, to Father. This album represents how he has handled the “Transactions” in life, and survived what he has been “Through”. He lets “Hip Hop” be his strength, and allows it to “Transfer” him to where he stands today.
