Don’t even know what we have been doing without Air Trance Communication all these years. After its resurrection the label just keeps delivering bombs. Again we can see the name Francesco Farfa there, also – with two great additions as remixers.

We just had the pleasure to host Alex Neri with a part of his versatile solo EP, now we’re looking into his remixing abilities. What we have here – signature percussion straight outta tribalistic 90s, some cathedral melodies… also from the 90s, maybe, the trancey part of those? Some sneaky background chants, that are making this track a bit bigroomier, then it is. And just a touch of that acidic bubbling in the middle. Cuartero is the latest Spanish DJ to be sending shockwaves through the global dance music community. Priding himself on his malleable approach to house music, encompassing everything from deep and techy bombs to wistful and light progressions, his stock continues to rise with every production he serves up, be it on Desolat, Saved, Noir and a string of underground bastions. As he serves up an exclusive, bespoke mix for MEOKO, we ask him about the Spanish scene, his affinity to London and the forthcoming celebrations for Barcelona’s renowned Club4. 

Cuartero - Meoko Special Mix

“IF U WANT IT” is our first micro-album project on clipp.art, and comes via 24 year old female Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, house and techno DJ "박혜진 park hye jin”.

Korean born, 박혜진 park hye jin is a resident DJ at Pistil Dance Club, with regular broadcast performances on Seoul’s independent underground radio “SCR”. Her style blends elements of dream-state house, raw hip-hop & psychedelic darkwave and mixes her own English and Korean vocals over dreamy synths & thick beats for a forward-thinking dancefloor experience.

Title track IF U WANT IT, has park hye jin singing a duet with herself in Korean over a bangin 4/4 beat, followed rapidly by ABC which finds park croon in English over a smoky piano line before tumbling effortlessly into a motorik fashioned middle breakdown. From there we shift gears, sliding into the deep thunder of Korean vocaled I DON’T CARE, the abyss of CLOSE EYES, before sailing endlessly into the moonlight on EP closer, CALL ME.

We are completely thrilled to present you this exciting underground talent coming out of Seoul.
