Monnom Black presents Umwelt's new studio album “Dead Eyes Society”, a stunning piece of work and the culmination of 30 years of artistic refinement. Umwelt is a truly rare underground electronic artist in the world of Techno and is without doubt one of the most important and prolific French electronic producers of a generation. A techno activist since the 90’s boasting over 50 releases to date. Throughout his career he has crafted a pure analog, unmistakable, signature sound, mixing dark, cinematic melancholy with the electro-techno grit he is so renowned for.

The sound of the album is influenced by late 90’s and early 00’s techno contrasted with an avant-garde approach to recording and sound design. Throughout the album Umwelt lays down beautiful grooves and his space techno melodies in uncompromising fashion, blended with classic synthwork and run through his famous analog outboard chains. With “Dead Eyes Society” Umwelt has crafted his most powerful techno album to date and solidified himself as an exceptional artist
and titanic figure of modern electronic music.

Released 22nd July on Double 12” Vinyl + Digital

Picture by acclaimed photographer Cam Linh, her work has been featured across multiple Parisian exhibitions and has worked closely with Umwelt over the past years.

Askkin's latest release, 'NECH027' marks his debut on Nastia's NECHTO. A former resident of techno nights at Faktice in Nantes, Askkin has found his footing in the Brussels techno scene. His work at Faktice, now a label co-founded with producer Exal, has garnered attention across the European scene. With collaborations alongside artists like Hadone and releases on labels such as TWND and Maison Close, Askkin continues to develop a distinctive sound. For Askkin, producing music serves as an expressive outlet, capturing a range of emotions and reflections. 'NECH027' conveys both introspective and uplifting moments, especially the track "Social Medication" exemplifying his approach to blending light and darkness while maintaining a strong groove and energy. The EP features five tracks: "Keep Your Chin Up", "Not All Silences Sound The Same", "Social Medication", "Tick", and "Yes". Each track showcases Askkin’s focus on deep emotions with a touch of hope, making 'NECH027' a notable addition to his growing discography.

Synthetik Sounds Unveils Star-Studded Compilation to Support LA Fire Relief Efforts

Los Angeles, CA – January 27, 2025 – Los Angeles techno label Synthetik Sounds is proud to announce the release of a powerful 39-track Various Artists compilation featuring an extraordinary lineup of global techno talent. In a time of urgent need, 100% of proceeds from the compilation will be donated to LA Fire Relief Funds, supporting communities affected by the devastating wildfires that created havoc in the Los Angeles area in January 2025.

In January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles County burned over 37,000 acres, destroyed more than 16,000 structures, caused at least 29 fatalities, and led to the evacuation of over 200,000 residents, affecting many in the underground techno and house community in our city.
When we asked artists to contribute to a V/A release to help our community, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the amount of support we received.

This monumental release unites over 40 cutting-edge artists, all contributing their signature sounds to this meaningful cause. From techno veterans to rising stars, the compilation is a showcase of boundary-pushing artistry and the unity of the electronic music community.
