Thor-Lor (Laurie Ladyka), a dynamic DJ hailing from Edmonton, AB, and now calling Winnipeg, MB home, is a maestro of deep house and melodic beats. Laurie's lifelong love affair with music began at an early age, always surrounded by the rhythms that have now become his passion. Embracing the welcoming embrace of the music scene, he dedicates himself to "Keep The Music Playing!" Sharing his love for music with fellow enthusiasts far and wide, inspiring local DJs personally through his co-creation of "Living Room Sessions" (LRS) is incredibly rewarding and inspiring.

His Music Journey started at age of 9 studying Piano Lessons and Harmony. Ten years later started his DJ Career. His collaborations with great Clubs/Bars and Venues music vibes guide him starting creating his own Music Productions. In 2018 started his own music productions which always has influences from Deep Progressive House and Organic/Downtempo House and more. Time to Time creating his own style with characteristics of merging different Genres. Don't try to judge His Music Creations. Through experiences, we tell our stories, shape our personalities, and build our perception of life.

We thus also become subject to sudden and unpredictable changes of moods and to whims and caprice of life. Like the planet Mercury, we split into two. Our one-half freezes in endless darkness, while the other half glitters with a perfect shade of orange under the rays of our one and only sun. We thus become the Mercurials. We live through different tones of life, swinging from ice to fire.

Certain life experiences evoke certain emotions, and these emotions, at once, push thoughts to the surface - thoughts that puncture our life. An experience thus turns into an anchor that we hold fast and remember forever.

Contrary to traditional music labels, Mercurial Tones is about these experiences which are simultaneously fleeting and enduring, dislocating and connecting.  

The Mercurial Tones is about us; it is about the ceaseless battle that we fight with ourselves, creating this Mercurial cacophony. And it is about our story which will resonate throughout the universe, carving out a piece of art from this formless, anarchic background.
