I discovered her through our lovely SoundCloud algorithms through a mix called "INDOMIE SO INTO YOU". Her style is described as a mix between R&B, Futurebeats and Bounce playing with sounds from the 90’s to early 2000’s before bringing it back to the present day. In her spare time, she enjoys digging for music which definitely translate in her mixes though her unique selection of music. I am so glad you are here. Today, I am honored to present my next guest.

He goes by the name of DJ Alone Again. 

@alone_again is a Producer and now DJ, based out of New York. I discovered him by way of his Bandcamp and I've been such a huge fan of his sound ever since. 

Initially inspired by Lo-Fi house, he developed a unique, one of a kind sound for house remixes. Most recently, he began to take mixing seriously and I was very pleasantly surprised when he reached out, to be a guest on the show.

On this all new episode, we introduce Turkish Producer/DJ Azlay (@schlii)

Azlay is a talented selector based out of Germany where she started her journey as a DJ during her masters. As a party goer, she quickly identified a need for better music at parties and took an interest in providing the music at those functions. It wasn’t long before she began playing professionally and shortly after, began producing her own music. Most recently, she released a Frank Ocean edit of Pyramids on Bandcamp. Make sure you check that out! You’ll get a chance to hear it towards the end of her mix. Speaking of her mix! We are in for such a special treat. Right off the bat, she takes us on a high energy journey with uk sounds, african and Arabic rhythms and much more.

Welcome to an all new episode of Mercury Landing.

On this episode we’re featuring a very special guest by the name of @chico_chi

Chico Chi is a queer and non-binary transmasculine DJ/Producer who splits their time between Minnesota and California. 

Chi started their DJ journey while creating safer spaces and events for queer and transgender people of color in the Bay Area with Hunnies & Hot Sauce. They’re also the co-founder of the music & creative production house Tender Bois Club. 

Chico, which means boy in Spanish, is an ode to Chi’s trans identity and Chinese-Cuban roots. This hyphenated identity directly influences their eclectic song selection while curating multi-genre vibes that’ll take you on a journey of nostalgic sounds and beyond.

You can catch Chico Chi later this month for San Francisco’s Pride weekend at few different parties including: Queer Magic Friday night and the SF Pride After Party at Public Works. Mercury Landing Episode #018 Feat. Pretty Ricky

Dom is a selector straight out of my hometown of Oakland, CA. His style and music taste is described as a smooth blend of r&b, edits, house and Afrobeats.

I’m really excited to present my next guest, who goes by the name of @rubimental Rubi is a femme selector from Germany. Her style is described as a mix of afro beats, rnb, hip hop and future beats. She grew up listening to music by way of her older siblings and most recently, she decided to share her passion for music threw DJing. She draws inspiration from some of her favorite femme selectors in the industry, especially women of color. 

I discovered Rubi, when I came across her @gg-vybe guest mix on SoundCloud and I was blown away by her selection.
