DjBadshape met Sinistarr at the 2023 Movement Festival, where he was playing on the Detroit stage, and it was then that she became fascinated by Torpor, originally released on his Everything On Time EP in 2019. Her 170 bpm remix adds a new dimension to the original, replacing the melancholy synths with an autonomic drum and bass vision.

Following a short break from the dubplate series we return with a link-up that has been long overdue - finding a sweet spot between the Dimeshift and WORSHIP sounds, Axle brings two of his headier, bassweight driven cuts to lathe, exploring two different branches of early-to-mid 00s dubstep production.

Twisted turns to the darker basement dance floors, with swung, whipping snares, tight drums, and tense, rising synths.

On the flip, Swarm embodies the meditative, and sparse sounds that turned slightly away from dancefloors, focusing on understated drumwork & hypnotic bass in favour of deeper atmospheres akin to the sounds of Random Trio

WORSHIP006 - Axle (Clips)

Building on the success of Procedures, his label debut, Mercy System, returns to Of Paradise with Othering, a momentous, street-savvy collection of sub-heavy and sleekly futuristic bass music custom-built for the more discerning dance floors out there. Featuring three original tracks and one inimitable and whacked-out remix by rising Nottingham talent Coralie, Othering demonstrates the clear-cut evolution of Mercy System's style, showcasing his ability to redefine the UK’s underground sound with each new release.

Dynamic in scope, Othering is a headstrong collection of contorted, lights-down dance music and sinuous atmospherics, and another standout release for artist and label alike.

Kindness is so scarce these days, it drives me mad.

A.Fruit flies off the hinges — and with her, Egor Konstantinov and Maria Poroshina — in Qurgōn’s third piece: a tribute to the rage that demands to be let out.

For our first release, we teamed up with Teen Film Lab, curated by Lena Vanina and Kirill Kulagin. They co-author with kids from post-Soviet countries to explore how they see the world. Through that lens, beauty sometimes emerges from the mundane; sometimes it zeroes in on what’s unnoticed or hard to put into words.
On this journey, you never know what you’ll find — so off we go.

Superwave EP: 
Following up on the drops from Gyrofield and Tim Reaper, Low End Activist arrives on Best Intentions with four mutant workouts up-cycled from dormant projects and moulded into weighty, outer limits club gear.
 
Low End Activist is best known for his sizeable output across Sneaker Social Club, Peak Oil and his own LEA label, where he twists grime and dubstep structures to gnarly, tweaked soundscapes indebted to dystopian sci-fi and social realism. Stepping up to Kasra's Best Intentions label, he tries a different approach by combing back through his archives of samples and stems and piecing together tracks with a sharp, surgical intent. 
 
In a canny display of stop-start dynamics, the A side comes through resolutely moody between the minimal, eerie atmospherics of ‘Wave ’01 and the dislocated vocal trickery and half-step pressure of ‘Wave 02’. On ‘Wave ’03 you can hear the click and crunch of early days Perlon and the rudeboy swing of El B, while the drums on ‘Wave ’04 lock into the mechanical rotation of Gescom as a counterpoint to the enduring hardcore influence coursing underneath the surface of the track.
