mercyTechno - Samo Rane "Earth"

I'm Carza987 (they/theirs), a queer Astrophysicist and DJ/producer currently based in the tropical sprawl of the Rio de Janeiro city, Brazil - which also happens to be my hometown. After stints in Cape Town, Genève and São Paulo, I started learning how to DJ around mid-2020, when in isolation due to covid-19 lockdown after returning to Brazil. Turned out I loved the experience, and I've been DJing in local goth clubs/events since then - not to mention producing their own tracks under the Kosmologyst987 moniker for nearly a year now. Here I present a 60-min, 132-bpm DJ set gravitating around some deep, murky and dark realms of techno I've been digging recently. This set also includes three new tracks of mine, still unreleased (and unfinished), that will temptatively see the light of the day by late September. or early October. Hope you enjoy! <3

With an insatiable passion for electronic music and an undeniable talent for capturing captivating techno beats, Nina has been making waves in the Miami techno scene with her inspiring sets.

N1NA's love for music and dancing started from a young age. Over time, her curiosity and fascination extended to electronic music, where she encountered not only great rhythms but also a world characterized by positivity, inclusivity, and empathy. Hailing from a nation where music performances were prohibited, she was prompted to travel to different countries to explore her musical passion.

Now based in Miami, a city renowned for its thriving music scene, N1NA has been leaving an indelible mark with her live performances and unparalleled sets. Fueled by an unyielding love for music and an unwavering commitment to her craft, Nina fearlessly pushes boundaries, constantly evolving her sound, and firmly establishing her presence in the techno scene. Remarkably, she has found residency within two preeminent Miami-based collective and label: Artifkat and E-HRZN Records. She performed alongside an impressive roster of industry titans, including Boris, SPFDJ, DVS1, and Matrixxman.

half past 6ix, full-time sound digger. Born in Poland, based in Katowice. Techno music was shown by his older brother, when he was 8 years old. From now on, he was exploring any genres of electronic music like dubstep, house, schranz. Now, he really went back to the roots, serving a trippy, groovy and fast sounds. Influenced by the Berlin scene and dark sweaty club’s tunnels, you can’t pass by without moving your body.

Nestled within the rich tapestry of England’s vibrant music scene, the enigmatic journey of CDTRAX unfolds against the backdrop of the early 90s, a time when they dared to diverge from the mainstream, delving deep into the clandestine underbelly of the underground. Influenced by the pulsating beats and raw creativity of that era’s avant-garde artists, CDTRAX unearthed the elusive essence that still reverberates through the airwaves today.

But it wasn’t until three decades later that the dormant embers of ambition ignited into an inferno of determination. In a serendipitous moment of revelation, CDTRAX seized upon their lifelong dream, propelling themselves beyond the confines of mere spectators to emerge in the industry.

Today, CDTRAX is a producer, DJ and label.

Class 1990, @viels was born in a little city outside Milan (Italy). Early in his adolescence he discovered techno culture inspired by a book called “TECHNO“ by Christian Zingales. Having released his first Ep on Initial Berlin in 2015, Viels continued his musical path appearing with a track on the well respected dutch imprint Dynamic Reflection, followed by his debut ep “Distrophism” and contributing for the 10 years anniversary of the label, among some of the most recognised artists in the scene : Donato Dozzy, Mike Parker, Shifted, Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Ness, Jeroen Search and many more.

Co-owner with Francesco della Sala of “End Of Perception”, Viels just released also on label such Warm Up, Non Series, Mord, and Semantica Records. At the moment he is resident of the Acquario party in Milano and an active part of the organization of it. With an increasing interest and having performed in quality clubs like Tresor, Perron, Cassette, Schron and shared the booth with the likes of Oscar Mulero, Svreca and Dasha Rush to name a few, Viels is establishing himself as part of a new wave of djs and producers approaching the contemporary techno scene.

Lidvall - one of the most productive artists on the scene, known for his rough, textural sound, based in Oviedo, Spain.

He started his techno journey in 2017 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia as a live performer and took part in the biggest Russian techno festivals like Gamma in Saint-Petersburg, Monasterio Factory in Moscow and many other local events.

Since that time he has made many vinyl and digital releases on a different labels such as Mord, Soma, Symbolism, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Faut Section, and many others.

Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the American dj & producer Uun (Ego Death / Mord Records).

Uun's techno blends widescreen grayscale imagery with propulsive dancefloor pressure. 
Whether crafting what Hardwax dubs "straight ahead techno juggernauts" or deep, introspective tools, his work is grounded in a masterful command of atmosphere and texture.

Uun developed his interest in fringe sounds as a guitarist and drummer in his hometown of Kansas City before shifting his attention to electronic music in 2012. 
This led him to relocate to Detroit, where he spent seven years pushing deeper into the underground techno scene, refining his production and performance methods. 
Between the Midwest and several periods in Berlin—another city he's found a deep connection to—he's honed a style that's allowed his music to nimbly navigate between different subgenres, "quietly infiltrating" the genre from multiple angles at once.

Uun's sound and his ability to mold it into a variety of forms has captured the attention of lauded techno labels like Mord, Semantica, and Soma. 
On his own Ego Death imprint, he pushes past genre confines and deeper into his music's underlying themes, exploring existentialism, duality, and the role of the artist in the modern era. 
His first full length, 2022's Derealization, interrogated dreams through rebuilding memories of liminal spaces, and on his latest Ego Death release, 2024's Platform Decay, he laces his tracks with a poignant criticism of social media-driven cultural homogenization while doubling down on his own uncompromising sound.

As a live performer, Uun distills years of his studio practice into cathartic sets that build off his productions while pushing them into exploratory new territory. 
His live show has taken him to legendary clubs like Berlin's Tresor, Tbilisi's Khidi, and Brookyln's Basement, and alongside the decade-plus of releases under his belt, it's safe to say Uun's infiltration of techno might not be so quiet for much longer.

Benales is a DJ and producer known for his unique blend of raw, dark, and deep techno and house, with nods to Detroit influences. Based in France, he has been making waves in the underground techno scene since the late 90s. With an extensive vinyl collection and a talent for selecting tracks that resonate with crowds, Benales has become a respected DJ in Europe, regularly playing at top clubs such as Tresor, Rex Club, Radion or Le Sucre, and sharing the stage with renowned artists such as DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, and James Ruskin.

Aside from his skills behind the decks, Benales is also a gifted music producer. He has released several EPs and remixes on acclaimed labels such as Sino (Technasia label), KEY Vinyl (Freddy K label), Mitsubasa, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, and more. In addition, he is a signed artist on Construct Re- Form label, with several releases on the horizon, including a VA on KS R, CRF, Matterwave, and S.lab.

Benales's talent for music production has earned him international recognition, especially for his releases "Elements part 1 & part 2". His unique style and skills as a DJ and producer have cemented his status as a respected figure in the underground techno community, known for his powerful and unforgettable sets.
