Well howdy there music lovers! I’m Severan.

I will be writing every Friday giving you my weekly roundup of interesting music finds spanning genres and the globe. This is a list of tracks that I find compelling, are pushing music forward, or are just downright dance-worthy. In addition, I will highlight one artist who I feel is a “must-hear” to keep on my watch list.

Fair warning, I can be a bit salty at times, but I’ll level with you here…I’ve got great taste.

For my first week I am giving you a double dose of audible goodness. Stick it in your earhole tonight as you get ready for the weekend.

This Week’s must hear is Brooklyn’s Empress Of with “Realize You.” Delightful lyrics like:

make this lovely solo project of Lorely Rodriguez just plain fun in a melancholy way that I identify with easily. I catch myself singing along every time I listen. Keep an ear on her as she releases more on Terrible Records.
