Zounds! A midweek treat for the weary psychedelic travelers shackled to desks and manning the meatpacking lines. Perched on the precipice of a massive fall tour complete with a stunning new live show and a gaggle of special guests, Ott has blessed The Untz with unholy water (it stings) and a fancy new single hot off the presses and straight from the laboratory. "Baby Robot" is a lush, symphonic piece oozing with walls of cushy synths and a hypnotic beat that laps up against the ethereal vox like waves on the shore.

The B-Side "Mr. Balloon Hands" is a trippy, broken beat opus riddle with Indian raga scatting and plenty of exotic percussion to get those tired feet moving. Bouncy, buoyant, and ebullient, this cut will push you over onto the safety of the weekend whereupon Ott triumphantly returns to the great state of Colorado with a pair of shows on the 13th and 14th: first at the Mish up near Ft. Collins, and then Boulder bound on Saturday. The rest of the country need not fret, the brand new show hits cities big and small from coast to coast through the month of September and into October with Bluetech, Anomie Belle, Aligning Minds, and many more incredible acts.

As artists must develop over time, and they do this by examining and exploring the implications and ramifications of their personal vision of existence. In other words, they explore their philosophy of life. When the artist combines this activity with their view of a particular branch of the arts - per instance making new music - what emerges is their artistic vision; the artist’s preferred subject matter and style. The combination is sometimes so unique that the artist’s works, whatever they may be, are instantly recognizable. 

Organic Beats Vol. 4 will be released in August in 24-bits for the digital format and in 16-bits for the CD format. 

This will be the last release of the Series.

In 2015 Artbat made a loud statement and asserted themselves with a ‘Mandrake’ EP released on Definition:Music. The very first effort from this Ukrainian electronic project resulted in critical acclaim and warm reception by the local and foreign audience. It&#39;s powerful, full-bodied and hypnotizing sound won respect from many DJs of worldwide fame, including Umek, Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin and Sasha.

Artbat was formed by two experienced deejays and producers from Kiev - Artur and Batish. Their portfolio builds upon a series of about 10 successful releases that charted globally and conquered numerous dancefloors all over the world. Such tracks as ‘Mandrake’, ‘Saltation’ and ‘Chivvy’, released by Definition:Music, paved their way to the international popularity. Though their major step forward – a release on Diynamic Records run by a world star DJ Solomun - is yet ahead.

Aside from Artbat’s popularity, the sheer amount of gigs in their tour schedule has skyrocketed too. Their DJ sets always deliver a wall of unrestrained energy and musical revelation. Artur and Batish fancy surprising their public with brand new releases, IDs and white-labels, unpredictable tracks and exclusive promos – their live shows can be compared to sharing and receiving in return.

In Summer 2016 Artbat’s touring geography has expanded not only along the ranks of the best Ukrainian clubs, but successfully extended the nightlife world capital and club epicenter Ibiza. The Ukrainian electronic duo’s name has frequently appeared on the lineup at the Destino night club.

Steyoyoke mainstay BLANCAh returns with a four track EP entitled ‘Osso’. Hypnotic and dreamy, percussive and menacing, ‘Osso’ is bound to hit home in clubs around the world. 

‘Axis’ is a reduced affair featuring a seductively hypnotic bassline and a powerfully marching groove. ‘Axis’ conjures a compellingly unique soundscape, striking a stark contrast between smooth synthwork and a decidedly menacing undertone.

‘Hamato’ sees BLANCAh return to familiar waters. Glittering atmospheres of synths and arps create layers upon layers of dazzling musicality. With ‘Hamato’, BLANCAh showcases her full musical spectrum while also introducing a well-placed note of progressiveness.

‘Talus’ is a percussive shaker built on a blissful layer of atmospheric keys. A hugely beautiful gliding synth artfully amps up the energy and elevates the listener to a state of pure exultation.

In this special edition of Merkaba Music we’re talking with label head Kalya Scintilla aka Merkaba focusing on the second album of their dreamt up trilogy with Eve Olution, Gaian Code, coming out on December 21, and followed by Kalya Scintilla’s 3-hour-set from Ozora 2018.

Australian Music Producer and Founder of Merkaba Music, Kalya (Ka –lee- yah) Scintilla ( Sin–till –ah) has always had a love for music; playing in garage bands, banging on drum kits, spinning vinyl in the night clubs of Sydney and getting down to funk! Kalya had a knowing one night listening to one of the most profound pieces of visionary music from the legendary Herbie Hancock, that his soul’s mission was to make music his life’s devotion. Soon after this experience he enrolled himself into a two year audio engineering course and eventually left the city to work on music in the country deep into nature. Taking on small part time jobs to get him by, he made his sole focus and time dedicated to honing his craft. He signed on with Zenon records in 2009 putting him on the map inside the psy-trance world with his first project, Merkaba. His second project, Kalya Scintilla made it to the top ten on Addictech charts in the same year and by 2011 he was touring the U.S. west coast. Kalya Scintilla took hold in the United States as dance floors were all a buzz about the masterful style in which Kalya was throwing down squelchy funky grooves that were uniquely deep and hypnotic. In 2012 he began collaborating with artist Eve Olution inside the album Open Ancient Eyes. New elements took root as these two worked in the studio to add detailed nuances to weave the current mythos of our time within the music. This album is the first of three inside a trilogy dedicated to our human journey, this planet, and our connection to creation itself. Today both Kalya Scintilla and Merkaba are renowned throughout almost every continent on the planet and the popularity of both projects are growing as more & more people are connected with the deep seeded intention of every song.
