Recording great performances of classical music in the best audio quality has been Deutsche Grammophon's mission since it was founded in 1898. The list of artists who have collaborated with the label reads like a roll call of the greatest musicians of the past 100 years: Abbado, Argerich, Barenboim, Bernstein, Boulez, Domingo, Dudamel, Gilels, Horowitz, Karajan, Kleiber, Mutter, Netrebko, Salonen, Zimerman, and so on.

Onn is a composer & music producer for film, TV, commercials and live performances. His music for the highly-acclaimed movie, The Garden of Evening Mists has won him his nomination at the 56th Golden Horse Award 2019 for “Best Original Film Score”. He is also the first Malaysian to be nominated in this category since 1962 (ref. finas.gov.my).

Among his other film works include: Think Big Big, Shuttle Life, J Revolusi, Anak Merdeka, Aku Haus Darah Mu, Berani, The Harvester, Jarum Halus and the
Malaysian-favourite film, Ola Bola, where he won “Best Original Film Score” award at the 28th Malaysian Film Festival (FFM) in 2016. 

Onn has also written theme songs - We Will
Believe Again (Ola Bola), Rempuh (J Revolusi) and recently, Drifting (Shuttle Life) sung by Malaysian artist, Daniel Che.

In September 2017, Onn was commissioned by the Malaysian Ministry of Sports to compose and music direct the official ceremonies for the 9th
ASEAN Paralympic Games held at Kuala Lumpur. 

His inspiring scores for Ola Bola was also performed by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) making it the first of its kind in Malaysia. 

His epic scores and cinematic work truly started when he first released his debut instrumental album, Epomania. Followed by his second album, Epomania II Time & Space, which features his signature sound - epic.
