Hello everyone, and welcome to the Il Modo Progcast! We continue our warp speed tour of England's more discerning DJ's and Artists this week, with a trip to Derby! Jon Towell has carved out a solid reputation on the underground scene over the years. He has recently held summer residencies at Hotel Garbi in Ibiza along with guest slots on Ibiza Sonica Radio, as well as playing legendary venues on the island such as Es Paradis and Ibiza Rocks.

In the last 12 months Jon has been making waves in the Beatport charts, with several top 10 positions gaining support from his luminaries, such as John Digweed, Black Coffee, Armin Van Buuren, Damian Lazarus and Paco Osuna.

Jon's latest tracks, several of which you can hear in this mix, have a trademark dancefloor centric sound, unrivalled with burly basslines, magnetic motifs, glitchy and downright pulsating grooves and drums. 

With a busy schedule of track releases in 2024, Jon has already signed to respected record labels such as Krafted Underground, Krafted Records, Hexagonal Music, Prognosis Records, and Saline Recordings.

Hello everyone and welcome! You are in tune to the Il Modo Podcast, our weekly soiree around Planet Progressive and this week, we are back in the hotbed of house music that is the North East of England. We finish our tour with a fantastic set from possibly the brightest most forward thinking artist right now... make some noise, its FORDAL!

Fordal (Les Dales) is a DJ, Producer and Co-Owner of legendary progressive house label Forensic Records, whose love affair with music has been evident from the off.

His earliest memories were of his Dad, a saxophonist playing Jazz clubs and sharing the same bill as legends like Jimmy Hendrix and Rod Stewart shaping Fordal’s desire to look beyond mainstream and be immersed in counterculture music.

Born in the North East, an area of the UK steeped in dance music history. His passion was ignited upon his first visit to The Arena Opening Party in Middlesborough, and watching Andrew Weatherall play techno at the legendary London club Turnmills and he instantly was hooked.

Fordal's journey through the realms of electronic music, from his early influences rooted in the sounds of iconic figures like Sasha and John Digweed to his current standing as a co-owner of Forensic Records, is a testament to his unwavering dedication and passion for the Progressive House scene. His background, steeped in the rich musical heritage of artists like Jimmy Hendrix and Rod Stewart, serves as a strong foundation for his artistic endeavors.

Having graced the decks of esteemed venues such as Turnmills, Ministry of Sound, and EGG London, Fordal's connection with club culture runs deep, shaping both his performances and his productions. His transition from the dancefloor to the studio has yielded a growing catalog of releases on Forensic Records, with his latest track 'Alleviate' making waves in the Progressive House scene, topping charts and earning accolades on Beatport.

With collaborations with renowned artists like Lexicon Avenue and remixes from talents like Luis Damora, Fordal's musical journey is marked by a commitment to authenticity and a boundless exploration of sound. As we speak, he continues to carve out his path in the electronic music landscape, Fordal remains as a safekeeper of creativity and innovation within the industry
