Wolfsheim are a synthpop duo from Hamburg, Germany consisting of Markus Reinhardt (music) and Peter Heppner (lyrics and vocals). The band was founded in 1987 by Markus Reinhardt and Pompejo Ricciardi and was named after Meyer Wolfsheim, a fictional character from F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel ‘The Great Gatsby’.  Ricciardi soon left the band and was replaced by Peter Heppner, a childhood friend of Reinhardt's. Together they produced their first demo tape, “Ken Manage”, in 1988.

After making a second demo tape, “Any But Pretty”, in 1989, Wolfsheim applied at various labels until they caught the attention of independent record label Strange Ways Records. They are best known for their debut breakthrough single, "The Sparrows and the Nightingales”, the first single to be released on Strange Ways in 1991. The band's musical style takes cues from the 1980s New Romantics, new wave, synthpop, and darkwave. The track's sombre synths were produced by Carlos Peron of Yello. Reinhardt says the lyric was inspired by ‘The Great Gatsby’, "in the 'onomatopoeic tension' between predator and security."  Over six minutes, the narrator describes being lost, unsure of where his life is heading, using highly metaphorical language. On the flip is a brand new remix by German producer Ancient Methods, a pseudonym of Michael ‘Trias’ Wollenhaupt, who provides a driving, EBM-leaning, amphetamine-laced club ready cut.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Designer Eloise Leigh has updated the record's original design with two sparrows enclosed in a blood moon circle against a deep black purple backdrop. Each copy comes with a black and white photo postcard notes by Carlos Peron and the song's lyrics. This release comes in time to celebrate the single’s 25th anniversary.

Founded in Bietigheim-Bissingen by Heiko Maile, Oliver Kreyssig and Marcus Meyn in 1984, Camouflage recorded their first demos in a home-made studio which they set up in the cellar of one of their parents’ houses. These early recordings found their way onto a local radio station via a competition which caught the attention of a small publishing company. Ultimately, this led to the band signing a deal with Metronome, a major record label.

They scored a hit with their debut single “The Great Commandment”, released in the autumn of 1987. Even more astonishing than the #14 spot they reached in the German singles charts was their success across the Atlantic, where a remix version peaked at #1 on the Billboard Dance Club chart! The single topped the charts in countries like Taiwan and Singapore, rightfully claiming its status as a worldwide hit, enhanced by heavy rotation for the song’s video on MTV.

The debut album “Voices & Images” followed in March, selling well over half a million copies worldwide and becoming a classic in the genre of synth pop. Who would have believed that this trio of school pals could create such an international sound? Moreover, the boost they gave to the genre is nothing short of remarkable.
To mark the 30 th anniversary of “Voices & Images”, the album now earns a repackaged, limited edition reissue featuring deleted remixes, rare versions and B-sides. Available as a double CD and
triple vinyl.

At the dawn of the new millennium, songwriter, producer, and multi- instrumentalist Klayton created Celldweller, a ground-breaking aural entity for the next age. Thriving on originality, Celldweller cross-bred electronic styles such as Drum'n'Bass and Psy-Trance with modern Alternative Rock and Metal on his self-titled debut, released independently in 2003.

The Celldweller album met with critical acclaim while climbing to #17 on the Billboard Internet Sales Chart. Celldweller gained Top 40 Metal Radio charting with the track “I Believe You” pulling into a solid 11th place on the R&R Alternative Specialty Show Chart. Achieving a feat shared by only an elite handful of albums, every song on Celldweller was eventually licensed for use in popular media. These songs were heard in movie trailers, TV shows, and games such as Spider Man 2, Constantine, Crackdown, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Enter the Matrix, CSI, UFC, The Shield, and more.

Now, Celldweller has been reissued to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its release with updated artwork and a second disc of remixes, demos, and previously unheard rarities (all remastered for this release). While Klayton busies himself in his Detroit studio preparing the future of Celldweller for 2013, celebrate the past with this monumental work.
