Press Release
Open Unity is the debut EP release on Mesh from Leeds based artist Jinjé which is set to be released June 3rd 2021.

Jinjé, known as Lee Malcolm, heralds from Leeds in Yorkshire. That's where he spent his formative years helping sculpt the scene as a member of post-rock band turned live techno outfit, Vessels. With over a decade of experience under his belt this new project is a re-envisioned solo endeavour, one that clearly demonstrates a pedigree of experience on the touring circuit as well as love for club anchored experimentation.

The EP features a mixture of vibrant and inviting influences from across his wide musical tastes, it's Jinjé meets Mesh. This can be heard in the mystic choir like sounding vocal chops and techno stew of "Release in this Instance", and within the warping electro ballad 'Cinétique'. The release is further complemented by an energetic left-field pad and percs extravaganza "Too Young For Zorb". The final track covers ambient grounds with "Drone Alone". It's a befitting name which imbues a sense of calm into a transcendent landscape accompanied by faint chirping crickets and soft liturgical vocal chants.

The artwork for the EP has been made by James Lacy (Pointless Illustration James) and features a fitting aesthetic to the inner workings of Jinjés' mind.

02 - Cinétique (original)

Coming from the celebration of its 50th release with a stellar compilation including some of the most cutting-edge artists in the scene, AEON is ready again to conquer the market with a killer EP courtesy of the spanish producers Moo Moonster & Parissior.
Born Carlos Velez and Jesus Aparicio, Moo Moonster & Parissior have joined forces in a over one year long process to pay homage to their main musical influences: Cosmic, Italo and Electro. The result of these endless sessions is enclosed into Intergalactive Adventure EP, their first collaborative studio work.
This package is a perfect combination of 2 different visions united by a common denominator: Arpeggios.
“Voices” open up the EP with a view into futuristic techno sounds. With a textures which progressively increase more and more wrapped in a dark groove, the only result possible is a instant new classic which will last through the years.
Title track “Intergalactic Adventure” follows bringing you straight in orbit as the title suggest. A distinctive rhythm filled with space fx and dreamy sounds create the perfect atmosphere to drive you into your personal space travel.
Scottish hero Theo Kottis step up on remix duties with a clear idea: some banging drums, a rolling bassline and few elements from the original tune. With that in mind, his work resulted a handfully crafted hit for big dancefloors: you would not be surprised to hear it in places like Panoramabar or Circoloco’s Terrace.
Closing the package we have “The Eyes of Darkness”, a track where the duo raised the pace, being stronger and more energetic. Acidic touches and a distinctive guitar riff are doing the rest, without letting it loose the cosmic part that unites the whole package.
Once again with this EP the Berlin-based label made clear how they gained and deserved their position in the music industry.

The routine was almost perfect, it was a beautiful performance with grace and style. Movement 4 was particularly stunning, the flickering beads of the delicate costume sparkled beneath the light as the dancers moved beneath the glow of the floodlights upon the stage. In the audience there were gasps of amazement and intrigue, it was to be a long night. 

New World Science is a newly formed project/ collaborative group formed of an impressive cast of producers and musicians all perhaps best known for operating under their own monikers. Priori, Ex-Terrestrial, Ramzi, R Weng and Emmanuel Thibau have all collaborated on a new EP which features a subtle blend of jazz, ambient soundscapes and a tropical, balearic edge. It's a remarkable feat which allows the collective to explore a new, dynamic channel of music and stretch the limits of their own creativity. 

The release is forthcoming on Temple and will be released in the coming weeks....

The Anne EP is the afterword to Joseph Shabason’s acclaimed 2018 harmonic suite Anne through which he examined and processed his mother’s struggle with Parkinson’s disease.  Employing a small supporting cast that includes vocalist Dan Bejar (Destroyer) and guitarist Thomas Gill (Owen Pallett), Anne EP spotlights the Toronto saxophonist as he builds empathic tropospheres of woodwinds and synthesizers, deepening the sentiment established by the EP's companion album, which was released in November 2018.  The detail and idiosyncrasy beneath the material's dawn-of-the-CD-era sheen, elevates Shabason's work far beyond mere aesthetic exercise, cementing jazz, ambient sound design, and new age revivalism into a timely new genre all his own.

One of Detroit's finest producers is possibly one who also flies furthest under the radar. Blair French has been quietly releasing stellar music under his real name while also having his fingers in a number of other projects, most notably Cosmic Handshakes and Nois Land. His musical output ranges from purely cinematic works, to sun-kissed melodies to afro-house stompers and it's this versatility that helps keep his releases 100% fresh. His latest is a solo EP coming out on Phat Phil Cooper's NuNorthern Soul, which shortly follows a split record store day  7" with Pontchartrain on Rocksteady Disco (hot tip!!). The "Patio Pastels EP" sees Blair don his balearic hat for six intoxicating tracks.

Our premiere today is the title track. Let Blair French whisk you away to the tropics as you can almost feel the warm ocean breeze emanating off of the composition. The steady hand percussion and understated bassline create a repetitive and trance-like atmosphere that allows you to close your eyes, while the acoustic guitar (played by Michael Jurczak) and Blair's melodies let your mind drift and wander in the sun and sand.  Patio Pastel is constantly evolving, something we've noticed Blair do in the past on compositions such as Standing Still Is An Illusion, where the song turns into a journey in and of itself. Sunglasses on and mojitos in hand, sit back on your patio and relax as this is the perfect spring to summer transition album.
