“This artwork generated by Midjourney’s AI. After I finished the set I started to listen the recording again. At the moment I created the keywords of some emotions and objects which reaches to my mind. While I was listening the set, I felt myself in microcosmos of the macro universe. So then I imagined human cells which are made from Nebulae and here is the result."

Throughout his critically acclaimed fifteen-year career, London-based producer Ryan Lee West has reinvented himself with each lauded release. His work is bound, however, by his increasing drive to humanize sound. His music has evolved from his challenging early electronic output to more conceptual and metamorphic sonic theses, such as 2020’s ‘Articulation’ and last year’s ‘Overflow’- an emotional exploration of technological advance’s consequences to human nature. 2022 saw his much-awaited return with his eighth release via Erased Tapes, titled ‘Now Is’.

Sei A moved from his native Glasgow to his adopted London just a short while ago, but, since then, he has been immersed in the hybrid house, firm techno and bass-heavy scenes that happily co-exist within the capital.

Sei A is not someone to be gobbled up by the hype machine. Instead, his music operates outside the normal lines, with fans and critical acclaim coming in from many different directions, comfortably inhabiting both the delicate and the more deliberate ends of the electronic music spectrum. 

On 16 September, Sei A will make their debut appearance in Morocco at the 2nd annual Oasis Festival. At the event, the duo will share the bill with the likes of Bicep, Dixon, Midland, Prins Thomas, and many more. Anticipating the event Sei A was gracious enough to provide us with the following exclusive mix.

The Artwork of this mix is a print of Hercules Segers, ‘Mountain Valley with a Plateau’ .  In these weird times where we are forced to stay at home and we have to avoid socialising and seeing places, imagination is a big resource. This mix is full of different genres and for me it’s also a trip to see different places.
