Originating from Italy and Indonesia, Tempestfeather is a music selector and writer based in Berlin.

Growing up between Europe, Asia, and Africa, Tempestfeather developed a flair for wideranging and nuanced storytelling. Exposed to an idiosyncratic blend of cultures, she cultivated an early interest in rhythm and sound— both musically and linguistically. After training in classical guitar and performing as a vocalist in rock bands, she explored the realm of electronic music, honing her craft as a DJ — and never looked back.

As a music selector, her sound was conceived in Cairo, shaped in London and refined in Berlin.

Drawing on a diverse range of influences, Tempestfeather’s DJ sets blend tempos and style in a polychromatic, textured sonic experience — leaning towards a left-field, bass-heavy sound that is
not bound by genres.

In May 2022, she debuted on the infamous Hör Berlin for the label Mother’s Finest. She also played across Berlin, Munich and Leipzig, at venues including Mjut, Repeat and Minimal Bar — notably warming the floor for the likes of Objekt and Hodge at OXI.

Tracklistings Radio Show #101 (2023.04.07) : Tempestfeather @ Deep Space Radio

This set was recorded in July at the legendary Tresor club. It was a stellar line-up including DJ Stingray, Dopplereffekt, Helena Hauff and my first time there.  I played a closing set starting at 5am and it was about two and a half hours long.   Actually, the longest set I have done thus far. That was OK since I have some 5-6 hours worth of live material so I could have went on for longer.  The crowd seemed to be loving it but I think the bar staff wanted their bed after 7am so it had to end!  It’s great to have the opportunity to play a longer set as it gives me scope to weave a deeper, unrestrained and distinct musical landscape.

GALAXIAN BIOGRAPHY  

Razor sharp percussion blur with shards of vocal snippets. Cinematic vistas twist into militant waste ground electronics. Earthy ambiences morph into organic poly-rhythms.  A sound as equally varied as it is evocative, Galaxian comfortably occupies a space outside of the easily definable.  His sound is often hard to classify but never less than absorbing.  He’s never an artist to become stagnant or take the obvious route.   Releases on labels including Last Known Trajectory and more recently with DJ Stingray on Shipwrec are both distinctive and remarkably vital and have further cemented his reputation for pushing boundaries in unexpected and exciting new directions.   

A provocative visual style, political and philosophical attitude further submerge the listener in Galaxian’s visions and ideas. Kitted out in trademark helmet and mask, as if to foresee a collapse of the current social paradigm, his live shows command attention. With an evolving and immersive atmosphere live shows have a raw and powerful energy resulting in a climatic experience. 2017 promises a host of 12" releases on the impressive Shipwrec, Greece’s Lower Parts and new label Foul-Up. Harnessing his appetite for an uncompromising and authentic approach Galaxian proceeds to captivate, challenge, defy and redefine the sonic parameters.

Raised in small town Indiana on a musical diet of 80s synth pop and punk rock, Noncompliant soon found barnyard raves and warehouse techno parties and (as DJ Shiva) quickly became a fixture of the fabled 90s Midwest USA rave scene.

Two decades and a name change later, she is at the top of her techno game. Mixmag named her one of 2017’s Top 20 Breakthrough DJs. She owned a packed and sweaty Boiler Room during Movement Detroit, turned in mindblowing mixes for Slam Radio, Discwoman, and Resident Advisor, and quaked some of the world’s most respected dancefloors like Smartbar Chicago, Amsterdam’s DeSchool, Concrete in Paris, and Berlin's legendary Berghain.

As a producer, her releases and remixes on labels like Valence, Argot, Flash, and Dark Entries have pounded sound systems worldwide, with her tune “Women’s Work” landing on Fiedel’s official Berghain 08 mix and on his label Fiedeltwo in 2018.
