Hello everyone, and welcome onboard the PFG Progcast, your weekly 1st Class trip around the world of Progressive Beats....

...and BREAKS! Today our journey goes transatlantic as we head into the US, and a Florida based DJ whose focus is all about those broken drums! Continually forging ahead with his unique sound, and with 25 years experience in the game, PFG Give it up.... for Joe Wink! 

As a child his father owned the counties only Vinyl & Cassette store, therefore Joe grew up immersed in music. He was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time, and that place was Orlando, FL 1992.

His experiences during this time with electronic music and the nightclubs lead way to over 25 years of dedication to the genre of breaks and in particular 'Progressive Breaks'. Inspired by Hybrid, Lostep, Way Out West and Sasha early on helped sculpt his musical taste to involve deep, intelligent and often emotional tunes. 

For the last 7 years his show 'Broken Essence'  has been syndicated internationally on several major stations, and recruits guest mixes from the leading producers and DJs in the genre.  He is a resident DJ on Subcode, the station that airs Broken Essence,  as well as running the 'Progressive Breaks' group on Facebook as a resource to find, share and discuss the genre's best music. Just like he has with this exclusive mix, ENJOY!

Uberzone aka Timothy Wiles is an American born DJ/Producer who has been an avid producer of electronic music since the mid 1990's where he spent some time playing in the early rave scene. He released his first album "Ideology" in 2007 to fantastic reviews and toured extensively with such acts as The Crystal Method. This mix was recorded for Groove Radio back in 2007 and features tracks from his Ideology album.

For anything to thrive for an extended period of time, diversity is necessary. The natural world is built upon this principle but it is also true of thought, culture and art.
In many ways it is the antithesis of monoculture, which by definition is formulaic, stale and incapable of new perspectives.
For creativity to remain healthy it needs to be woven from countless strands of differing ideas. Elements that when taken as a whole, create art that is vibrant, robust and vital.

Andrei Voica, aka Mesmer, has started his affair with producing electronic music, and synthesizers, and music software, in 2002 and has been building up an international following ever since. 

Hailing from Bucharest, Romania, Mesmer has quickly become known as one of the ﬁnest producers the country has to oﬀer and has had support from many of the biggest names around: Annie Nightingale on Radio One, Jay Cunning on Kiss FM, Matt Darey's “Nocturnal” and many more.

As of 2009, as well as producing stomping tunes and remixes for many of the major labels around, Mesmer has launched his own recording label Scarcity, which has won the “Best New Label” category at the international awards Breakspoll in 2011 in London, UK.

Mesmer's a true breakbeat and electronic music pioneer from Romania, who's productions continue to gather international support.
