Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Messiahwaits has spent a great deal of time abroad in Berlin absorbing a lot of the energy around him, and steadily learning more about himself and his craft.

The result of this journey has created jacking, repetitive rhythms that are engulfed in dark, and menacing sounds. These distinguishable elements eventually led him to start his residency in 2019 at High-Tech Seoul (Warehouse Event run by Mixmag Korea) and launch his own music label, MHz (Megahertz).

Athe the heart of this EP is `Perlen vor die Säue´ by PANTERNOISE,
a haunting and evocative piece of industrial art, rooted in both nostalgia and innovation. Built around the eerie sample of a 1990s telephone message—the kind you’d hear when dialing a non-existent number—the track transforms a mundane fragment of the past into a profound and unsettling sonic experience. These fragments of lost communication serve as a metaphor for modern alienation, where meaningful connections are increasingly rare in a world consumed by noise, miscommunication, and superficial interactions.

The opening moments of the track immerse the listener in an otherworldly soundscape, where atmospheric drones and metallic textures echo through a void, evoking the disconnection and mystery of a misdialed call. Though the Korean-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer isn’t too much of a talker. And he doesn’t need to be. He prefers letting his records speaking for him, letting their beautifully crafted voices, made of snares, high-hats, and bass drums tell his stories. Stories to be heard at night in the dense dark of the dance-floor, soaked in sweat, covered in haze. Messiahwaits is a musical artist through and through. He creates droning atmospheres, fused with repetitive, jacking rhythms and filled with a dark and unsettling aura. He plays with expectations and breaks tonal conventions in his very own way. And it works. And you are going to want more.   

Messiahwaits, a DJ who defies genre boundaries with a bold proclamation: “Fuck the Genre."

He would describe his set as ‘Hyper New Rave’ and believes in breaking free from the confines of a single style. His sets, clocking in at 150-160bpm, seamlessly blend Hard Techno, Hard House, industrial, groovy, Schranz, Psy-trance, dub, acid, and classic Trance sounds. Rejecting monotony, he aims to take his audience on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, offering a musical journey. For him, the mission is simple: “Make People Dancing." His key idea? "You Should Feel What I Feel."
