The messiah has arrived, bringing with him ungodly sounds to convert any nonbeliever. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, the music producer and DJ spent a great deal of time abroad in Germany, where he simply absorbed a lot of the energy around him, steadily learning more and more about himself and his craft. The result of this journey was a sound steeped in brooding darkness, with jacking, repeitive rhtyhms and a menacing aura, all the right ingredients for a recognizable sound. Back in Korea he joined the High Tech Seoul Warehouse event series hosted by Mixmag Korea and launched his own label "MHz". He's had a string of successful releases, inclding his his first acid track "journey to mars" which even found its way onto Fiedels Ostgut 08 mix.  The wait was worth it, the messiah is here!

These distinguishable elements eventually led him to start his own residency in 2019 at High-Tech Seoul (Warehouse Event run by Mixmag Korea), as well as launching his own music label called, MHz (Megahertz).

Messiahwaits, would describe his set as ‘’Hyper New Rave’’ „This will be the title of my forthcoming track as well“ and believes in breaking free from the confines of a single style. His sets, clocking in at 150-160bpm, seamlessly blend hard Techno, groovy beats, Schranz, Psy-trance, dub, acid, and classic Trance sounds. Rejecting monotony, he aims to take his audience on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, offering a musical journey.

For him, the mission is simple: "make people dancing." His key idea? "You should feel what I feel." ,,‘Raving’. That is it. Since we decided to use my 4hrs live recorded set from the latest SYNOID weekender at RSO.BERLIN for my podcast mix, you can clearly hear and feel my intention of my DJ set. This would be what you can expect from my DJ sets.’’

When it comes to equipment, Messiahwaits relies on 3 CDJs and favors Pioneer mixers like DJM 900NXS or DJM V10 for their versatile effects. He is commited to diverse textures, creating a sonic landscape that resonates with the audience.

Raised in Seoul, S.Korea and lived in Berlin, Germany, Messiahwaits is a DJ / Producer from German-based label, GND Records. Messiahwaits has moved to Berlin in 2013 and started to produce his own sounds. He joined GND Records, German-based label, since his release of a debut track through their compilation, "Digital Spring" in 2014. During 2015 he has returned to Seoul and released his debut EP, "Flashforward" on GND Records. Since then, he has continued to work and has released his second EP, "Paranoid State" on GND Records in 2016. After the successful release with massive responds on "Paranoid State", he is looking forward to sharing his passion and energy on the stage as well as social media. Messiahwaits is going to release his remix in 2017, a new track on a compilation and new EP on GND Records.

대한민국 서울 출신인 Messiahwaits 는 독일 레이블 GND Records 소속 DJ / Producer 이다. 2013년에 독일 베를린으로 이주해 생활하며 Techno / Electronica 를 기반으로 그만의 사운드를 프로듀싱하기 시작해 이듬해인 2014년, GND Records 의 컨필레이션 음반에 참여하며 첫 데뷔를 가진 후 GND Records 에 소속 되었다. 2015년 서울로 다시 들어와 생활하며 같은 해 2월 소속 레이블인 GND Records 에서 데뷔 EP, "Flashforward" 를 발매하였다. 2016년, 성공적인 두번째 EP, "Paranoid State" 발매를 가지며 국내에서 꾸준히 공연을 하고 있다. 현재 서울에서 작업중이며 조만간 새로운 Remix 및 Compilation 참여트랙 그리고 소속 레이블인 GND Records 를 통해 그의 새로운 음악을 선보일 예정이다.

During his time in Berlin, Messiahwaits worked closely with German-based record label, GND Records, on which he released his debut track "Digital Spring" in 2014, followed by two EPs, "Flashforward" and "Paranoid State", and he shows no signs of stopping. Messiahwaits released his new remix in early 2017 and released his new original tracks on two local compilations on both September and November in 2017. His very first acid track, ‘Journey to Mars’ on Ameniia records was featured alongside wonderful artists in Fiedel’s Berghain 08 mix which was recorded live in Berghain and released by Ostgut Ton on January 26, 2018. 

Messiahwaits released his new 4-track solo EP, “BLACKENED” in September worldwide both in the 12” vinyl and digital formats. The “BLACKENED” Remixed EP (incl. Takaaki Itoh, AWB, Hydrangea remixes) released on 24th February, 2019. And, the feedbacks of remixed EP were overwhelmed by many great producers. His new remix of Skóll was released alongside great artists such as Hydrangea, Antonio Vázquez, and Sheol in June.

Though the Korean-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer isn’t too much of a talker. And he doesn’t need to be.
