Fractal Flight Simulator V1.0

I was honored to be handed the reigns in taking over after the Prayer For Peace at 01:00. The dancefloor was a world of color and theatrics, white flags on poles scattered the dancefloor and tickled everyones hair, performers walked on stilts through the crowd, adorned in LED lights and colorful clothing. The vibe was simply electric and it will go down in my books at one of the most memorable times on stage to date.

A label DJ and official drinking partner for both Goa Productions and Purple Hexagon Records and a regular with the Tribe Of Frog crew in the UK, he is mostly known for playing 'twilight' psychedelic trance but can also be found knocking out anything from disco house and electro to progressive techno when left unsupervised by the trance mafia. Metasonic is the psychedelic DJ project of Sidney van Dyk. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa now living in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since first being exposed to psychedelic trance music and culture in 2009 he fell head over heals in love with both.

He believes that the psychedelic trance journey at it's roots is one of the most liberating and freeing experiences one can have. Be it progressive day-time to Full-on night time to Darkpsy etc, etc, etc and all the myriad of genres in between. The journey it takes you within your own consciousness and who you are after experiencing this journey of sound and self is what made him fall in love. 

Hence the name, Metasonic(meta - after / sonic - sound) is a tribute to that place in all of us that we reach after being taken on a psychedelic sound journey.

His vision for this project is to bring about journey sets to take the listener to that special place inside themselves.
