“Shadows of Me” started as a raw sketch, just voice and chords, written in a moment where I felt the weight of judgment, putting on a mask, and then breaking down into the truth: all I really want is for someone to care.

Right now it’s simple, but the vision is to build it into something bigger: long vocal holds, harmonies that push and pull, and instrumental layers that mirror the arc — fragile at the start, defiant in the middle, and desperate by the end.

It’s a song about hiding behind “I don’t care,” and the release that comes when you finally admit, “please just care.”
