HEAVING is an EP where each track represents a different, vivid emotion. I didn’t create this project to follow trends, but purely for fun—as a way to express myself and share what I feel in each moment.

It’s meant for people to listen and find something familiar, something not necessarily brand-new, but genuine and close to the heart. My goal is for everyone who listens to feel special, to connect with those emotions, and to make them their own through my music.

Jair Osorio aka Dj Mugwump residente de la CDMX comienza su aventura a una temprana edad asistiendo a eventos de Psychedelic Trance en su país. En poco tiempo comenzó a desarrollar su habilidad permitiendole tocar su Dj Set en fiestas locales.

A partir de 2014 se integra al colectivo TranceNetwork Team de la CDMX y junto al equipo organiza eventos totalmente underground. Es a partir de este año que adquiere un nuevo estilo en sus sesiones y comienza a desarrollar sets con mas energía e intensidad, hasta el punto de ganarse un lugar en la label internacional Digital Shamans Records.

Hasta el día de hoy Dj Mugwump a sacado 2 compilaciones: "VA Prehispanic Entities" (2018) y "VA Natural Circuits" (2019). Actualmente se encuentra trabajando en su primer EP con su proyecto de Live Mental Bugs - Digital Shamans Records.

Jair Osorio aka Dj Mugwump resident of the CDMX begins his adventure at an early age by attending Psychedelic Trance events in his country. In a short time he began to develop his ability allowing him to play his Dj Set at local parties.

From 2014 he joined the TranceNetwork Team collective of the CDMX and together with the team he organizes totally underground events. It is from this year that he acquires a new style in his sessions and begins to develop sets with more energy and intensity, to the point of earning a place in the international label Digital Shamans Records.

To this day Dj Mugwump has released 2 compilations: "VA Prehispanic Entities" (2018) and "VA Natural Circuits" (2019). He is currently working on his first EP with his Live Mental Bugs project - Digital Shamans Records.

VA FORMA MELODIA

VA Forma Melodia is an experimental / psycore compilation involving 11 producers & 11 illustrators. This project brings different art types and different artists together.

Forms reflect the sound, melody illuminates the darkness and colors of the sunset brighten our dreams. We believe music harbors everything inside and types of art always need to be connected. We can have an imaginary journey of sound inside the music.

Music creates the space and time, the atmosphere and the characters. Inside one track you can travel through a liquid story of melodies. Music is an art form which contains every kind of art inside; and more specifically music contains everything that we can imagine. Every type of art can inspire and be inspired from each other. Especially music has been the biggest inspiration for other types of art. With this album we want to connect different artists together and visualize the sound.

All tracks have similar kind of experimental / deep and psycore tunes from different artists. Illustrators involved have different art styles; but we tried to match the producers and designers according to the sense of their art styles. This album has an art story related with the tracks. Each track has one artwork made with inspiration received from the track. Artists tried to visualize the sound using their own creative ways. There are 11 tracks / 11 artworks inside this album.

This week’s guest of Free Harbour series is LOVI RITUAL.

LOVI Ritual combines elements from Finno-Ugric tradition and mythology with their own unique expression. Throughout the ages, music has been a way of interacting with the present moment. A way to be in dialogue with your community and the nature around. Both musicians have been studying musical traditions, that have their roots in this interaction. Not being a performing art, but art of life itself for the sake of itself.
It all boils down to exploring the countless ways of how the authentic human expression manifests itself through our own cultural lenses. LOVI Ritual aims to hold a space for deep introspection and connection, transcendental states and a realm where the layers of imagination and consciousness can be safely explored in a supportive environment.

Mikko Heikinpoika

Mikko Heikinpoika is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and music producer from Finland. He is part of the new wave of live musicians who strive to create powerful performance experiences through merging the worlds of acoustic and electronic, integrating ancient vocal techniques, live looping, grounded rhythms and deep, heartfelt bass frequencies.

Mikko is studying music in the Global Music program of Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, Finland. He is currently working on his Bachelor project. The themes of the project are transformation, authentic inspiration, flow, creativity and the origins and source of the mentioned phenomena, and how they manifest through our individual and cultural algorithmic compositions.

Vaskilintu

“Vaskilintu” is Magdalena Mölsä. She started her musical journey in the National Opera of Finland at the age of six and got re-emerged with music after visiting South-America 2017 and gaining interest in the healing powers of music. She is inspired by the therapeutic aspects of ceremonial music, and the power of music that affects the emotional landscapes of the human psyche. She is deeply inspired by her two cultures and roots in the south and the north but also trans-cultural sounds. Vaskilintu brings the archaic rootsy touch to her music and creates a a space where the modern meets the ancient.
