Für die 31. Episode unserer gaggalacktischen Saga konnten wir mit Atomental ein ganz besonderes Schätzchen aktivieren.

Nachdem die meisten Artists von unserer GaggaHorde mit einem Ohrenschmaus zu Gast waren, wollen wir den Radio Gagga Podcast fortan auch mit externe Artists aus unserem Umfeld erweitern.

Vor kurzem erschien das neue Album  "The Sacred Flowers" von Atomental auf Banyan Records. Das haben wir natürlich soforrt zum Anlass genommen ihn auch mal bei uns mit einem musikalischen Beitrag einzuladen. Jean alias Atomental ist ein alter Hase im Dark / Forest Universum und produziert seit über 15 Jahren Musik. Seine Tracks zeichnen sich aus durch organische Tiefe und Vielschichtigkeit aus. Viele seiner Sounds erzeugt Atomental mit selbstgebauten analogen und digitalen Klangerzeugern und so entsteht ein einzigartiger Vibe, der durch viele Tribal Elemente noch verstärkt wird.

Reflections of Emptiness: a Philosophical Inquiry by Nementïa Astrøphe

When explaining the concept of emptiness, we have a fundamental problem with our usual ways of thinking about what is real. Emptiness, frequently taken as just absence, emerges here as an underpinning state full of significant implications. Quantum mechanics disrupts traditional view by revealing that there is existence in waves and particles simultaneously; hence our illusion of solidness.

The Phaneron theorem takes this farther by asserting that our perception of reality is filtered through subjective lenses which inherently shape what we believe exists. Reality is thus suggested to be nothing more than what we perceive it to be as created within ourselves using our limitations and interpretive frameworks.


From this point, emptiness begins to move beyond its passive definition. It becomes dynamic, a place full of possibilities between being and non-being where lines are blurred out. This calls for the rethinking about the very origins of nothingness implying that space is not void but fertile ground from which reality emanates.

It is important to note that consciousness cannot be explained by deterministic physical processes, which makes this matter more complex. It also introduces a world of human thoughts and decisions which go beyond mechanistic explanations and point to possible connections with other dimensions beyond our immediate perception. This realm is colored by the idea that somehow consciousness can serve as an instrument for steering ourselves through the complexities of life showing that our knowing may be essentially linked to a larger, perhaps, spiritual reality.

Essentially, this meditation on emptiness compels us to interrogate the bases of our knowledge. Instead, it invites us into an embrace of ambiguity and intricacy capable of causing us to rethink what we know about reality itself, consciousness, and where we fit into this vast realm called existence.

This album recalls the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016, when I started experimenting with my first psycore and experimental productions, between 230 and 300 BPMs, and released my first EP through Shamanism Records (Extraterrestrial Mushroom).
The experimental psycore created with my personal identity and characteristics, influenced by dark hitech.
A schizophrenic sound, full of leads, alien themes, lots of ambiences, glitches, memes and protest samples.

My first psycore influences were Xamãlien and Psyber.
One of the pioneers of Brazilian psycore, alongside the projects Psyber, Aliendígena, YamaVoodoom, Innummanno, psycore was being seeded in Brazil at that time by Brazilians.

Thanks also for the support later received from producers Yata-Garasu (Belgium) and MinDelve (Iran).
Thanks to producer NukleArt for providing hardcore samples.

In this album, I explored a lot of the roots and the present moment, with tracks that range from experimental, psycore, hitech, speedcore, glitch, noise, hardcore, breakcore.
Memes and mashups characteristic of my live performances, where I like to mix rock, metal, punk, grindcore, and memes with electronic music.

The track "The Underdog" the track is mixed with my grindcore side project Gonococo.
The track "Tetra" contains collections of memes from YouTube (Hermes e Renato , Gil Brother Away , Irmãos Piologo and others) selected by me and is also inspired by Mestre3224.
The track "Et De Vagina" is inspired by the episode that happened in Brazil in Varginha and also contains a meme sample from Hermes e Renato "PODTRASH"
The track "Art Have no Government" contains samples from the band System of a Down in their live performance.
The track "Sindrome de Balboa" contains a sample from the movie Rocky Balboa.
The track "Gratitude to all the audio engineers" is a tribute to Robert Moog the inventor of synthesizers, and all the audio engineers.
The track "Master Mind" contains a sample from a segment of "Charles Chaplin - The Great Dictator (1940)" in Spanish , and a sample from the documentary "ZEITGEIST - Addendum."

The album genre is a fusion of Experimental, Psycore, Dark Psy, Hitech, Speedcore, Hard Core, Noise, Breakcore, Glitch, Cyber ​​Grindcore, Meme Core.

Polarians is the Forest/Twilight project from Ruben Sponar, aka Rubuscubus and Joana Gregório, aka Coguie.

Rubuscubus is an Audio Engenieer and Electronic Music Producer sice 2010. Signed to Woo-Dog Records since 2019.
Creating Baselines filled with funky and energetic grooves, his Music turns any dancefloor into a dancing bubbly enchanted Forest tale.

Coguie is a Forest and Twilight DJ since 2012, and Music producer enthusiast and apprentice. Signed to the estableshed label Purple Hexagon Records since 2015.
Characterized for creating deep atmospheric and mind travel Sound Journeys, Loaded with powerful rhythms and spooky foresty Melodies.

Polarians born as a form to synthesize the Polarity on our musical inner essences and inspirations.
Blending them in a symbiosis where both Polar parts, Dark and Light, Day and Night, Sun and Moon, Sound and Silence, Good and Evil, dance harmoniously to show the beauty and power between their union.

To create their unique sounds, they invented and built a sound effect instrument box and by recording everyday objects and integrate these into digital soundscapes, they create their own organic and clear sounds.
This method allows them to combine the best of the digital format and the acoustic recordings made with the sound box.

As owners of their own Modular Synthesizer company CubuSynth (cubusynth.com), they use their own Eurorack Modules to create otherwordly soundscapes and perform live, in order to increase originality and make each of their sets unique.
