With previous releases on Knee Deep in Sound and Glasgow Underground, friend of the label Avesie steps up to deliver the latest release for the Metafloor Records crew. The London based producer delivers the 'Get Funky' EP which features three original tracks along with a remix from Nathan Inman.

Title track 'Get Funky' kicks things off with a heavy bassline and a stripped back, infectious lead synth line. The rich, low-end presence of the track is complemented with various bleeps and galactic-themed motifs which add additional colour.

Fresh off the back of releases on Rendr, Microhertz and Heavy House Society, stepping up for remix duties is Nathan Inman, who elevates the energy of 'Get Funky' into a driving break infused belter.

'1807' is a hypnotic, peak-time roller which also draws from a galactic sound palette, with all manner of lasers and glitches garnishing a groovy 909 drum pattern and moody melodic riff.

With its soothing bassline and a tight, ornately crafted drum groove 'Fearful' delivers mesmerising main room vibes to round off the package.

Avesie - Get Funky (Original Mix)

Reading-based producer Wodda steps up to deliver two fresh minimal cuts for the Metafloor Records imprint. The young producer has been making waves in the minimal scene of late, and has been turning the heads of fellows DJs and established industry stalwarts alike with his energising and wavy, dub-influenced compositions.

Title track 'Dutchie' is a bouncy, minimal groover with a fresh mix of melodic stabs, futuristic organ melodies garnishing a nifty, yet subtle, bassline.

'Apex' veers into darker territory with powerful drum groove, layered over the cool dark ominous synth textures and donks scattered throughout the track. Another rising star James View is on remix duties, and delivers an avalanche of peak-time, bass-filled goodness. This is a real bona fine party anthem which is already started to destroy the dance floors where it has been dropped.

'Alkalis' is a track made for clubland with Wodda's signature, driving drums, distinctive lead synth sounds and chunky 909 snare fills are washed with subtle dreamy pad sounds to create a perfect tool for those later sets.

Both Wodda and James View are adept at making dance floor bangers and this record is no exception. You can bet your bottom dollar these gems will be sneaking their way into DJ sets well into 2023.
