Hailing from South Bohemia, NĀV are a black metal jewel, the value of which stands proven already by two exceptionally powerful albums. After the intense debut Smrtci and its successor “Arcizlo”, now comes the third full-length “Trpte”, on which NĀV found themselves again in a raw, but also very much dramatic, metal that clearly shows their love for the genre, as well as a confident transgression of its rules. “Trpte” has a fatalist vibe, yet at the same time the musicians keep their distance, well aware on what ground they are now treading. Atmospheric music with the power of a machine that however lost nothing of its authenticity. The heart of NĀV may be putrid, but it still beats unbridled in the rightest of places.
