The Blacklab brothers Kariem and Kashim from Las Vegas, are back on Soulvent following up their 2018 single ‘Human Condition’. Clearly comfortable this side of the pond, this time they are doubling down with a lustrous 4 track EP entitled ‘Violet’ - which clearly reflects their varied and expansive sound. From the whimsical, laid back vibe of ‘Early Birds’ to the gritty underground feel of ‘Unreal’, there is certainly a little something for everyone with this debut EP from the Nevada natives.
	
Opener ‘Early Birds’ certainly catches the worm with crooning, siren-like vocals before dropping into an easy-listening groove backed by raspy saxophone and twinkling keys. A soft primer dripping with grace that sets the tone of what is to come. 

Title track ‘Violet's tubular bells, rousing string plucks and calm tones provide a blooming soundscape for the bracing drum work to shine through. Another sublime piece of arpeggiated liquid from the American pair.

‘Columbia’s double bass instantly gets your toes tapping, developing into a moody mover of a tune. The bongo laden break has a distinctively vintage feel to it. Haunting atmospheres and swelling bass textures result in a track drenched in sophisticated, measured energy. 

Finally, ‘Unreal’ comes to life with an ominous, techy intro. A high energy, shuffling break provides the platform for a ribcage shakingly powerful bass line that will find itself at home on both home and club systems alike.

Out in all good stores on the 7th of August, don’t sleep on these delicious desert vibes from Blacklab.

It's been over 3 years since Artificial Intelligence's last Metalheadz EP so we're excited to welcome them back for the 'Signs EP' this September.

One of the most prolific duo's in drum and bass, consistently proving themselves as a force to be reckoned with, AI have once again come through with the goods revealing 5 majestic cuts. Doing what they do best, AI have united contrasting auras and sounds with a grizzly roller in 'Outer Origins' and the dreamy and enchanting backdrop of 'No Choice' which also features Satl's debut Metalheadz appearance, not forgetting the cabalistic nature of 'Intrepidity'.

Made up of Zula Warner and Glenn Herweijer, Artificial Intelligence are a duo who really need little introduction. First appearing on Metalheadz Platinum back in 2012, they soon became a regular fixture with the equally revered drum and bass label. They now make their return with 'Signs' EP, three years on since their previous EP 'Reprisal'. 

Today, we have track 'Good Things' for your listening pleasure. With a shimmering, heavenly aura, at the heart of 'Good Things' lies a breath-taking, tear-jerking liquid rhythm. We welcome Scepticz back to Dispatch for the next instalment of the Dispatch Limited series. 

Familiar to some for his production work with M-zine, this release sees the talented Belgian producer demonstrate the depth of his own sound. Two richly textured and beautiful solo tracks, 'Ikki' and 'Relate', were crafted in his first exploratory solo production sessions. 

The release is completed with the minimal rolling sounds of 'Forged', as he is joined by hometown friend Gekkus Tonie for their first time in the studio together. 

After beer and chocolate, Scepticz is quickly proving to be one of the finest Belgian export products.

Originating from São Paulo Brazil, Dunk is one-half of world-renowned Jam Thieves. With a string of recent releases on many of the scenes most prominent labels, Dunk is exploring the new direction and freedom of expression this solo work allows.

For ‘Circle’ he is joined by Objectiv, another artist making their Dispatch Limited debut. The resulting track is a journey into the darkest recesses of synthesizer design and a deconstructed funk break, pushed to the limits. 

‘The Hippie’ is Dunk’s own take on the minimal Dispatch Limited sound – progressive and building from the off, layered with that unique flavour Dunk has become known for. 

Two solid tracks mark a welcome to Dispatch Limited for this rising talent.

 Superduo Artificial Intelligence are back at the forefront of the Drum & Bass scene in a new era of releases as they continue to carve a truly unique position in the Drum & Bass scene with their consistently progressive sound.
