Credits for example see Jubei once again call on the vocal prowess of Flowdan for the LP’s massive follow up to past release "Say Nothing" entitled "The Moment". "State of the Art" flips the script at 170+ with SP:MC on vocal duties.  Further co production credits on the album bring Jubei together the forces of Goldie, D-Bridge & Youngsta just to name a few.

Albums like this don’t come along every day and whilst some artists now imitate with sights set firmly on commercial success only a select few can originate whilst continuing to cross boundaries so consistently.

Minor Forms is back bringing the heat with his second instalment of his ‘Night Trails’ series. 

Late night vibes for late night movers, the first episode bought serious weight with ‘Watch This’ and ‘Snooker’, and Part 2 takes proceedings up another notch with this Double A side package. 

The young producer’s M.O. with these tracks is strictly for the club, and he’s nailing it down. Weighty rolling drums. On lock. Big fizzing bass. Lock. You’d be forgiven for thinking this is a producer with a lot more releases under his belt. But this is the talent that Minor Forms possesses and he’s putting it into full effect. 

‘Time Ticking’ sees the first link up between MF and Gloucester legend Rider Shafique and it’s a belter, stepping it’s way out and drawing a tidy link between 97 and 22 sound, Shafique’s vocal riding tightly in the pocket on the beat. 

‘Versatile Sound’ is a big room roller and will do bits for anyone reaching for it. It’s sure to set the dance on fire. Tight and contemporary but still bringing that 90’s funk, this one sounds posh. 

Minor Forms’ ‘Night Trails’ series is doing the damage. Get your laughing gear around that.

Manny seems to have a never ending supply of talent oozing out of it’s corners and cracks - a city with an obviously stellar musical history - a history being continuously added to. 

Motiv is one of the next breed of these Manchester talents, and after having only seemingly recently risen to the surface, his already hugely impressive and wide ranging discography shows that this young producer really means business and is a name that’s here to stay.

It feels like there’s already a ‚Motiv Sound‘, his tracks always possessing a well rounded sound and a coherent and progressive musical structure. This sounds like music made by someone who’s been about for years and is just solidly plying their craft, rolling out lush musical joints one after the other like it’s no big thing. That’s pretty sick.

And so we had to get him on CIA - and not only is he on the label - he’s come with five fresh cuts, just like that, and that’s his ‘Downpour’ EP.

Jade, one of the primary architects of the neurofunk sound, presents the latest release on his distinguished imprint Eatbrain;
Telekinesis – The Nightwalkers EP. Telekinesis - the highly praised Slovenian duo consisting of Smooth and Markoman - joins an already drool-worthy roster of neurofunk talent on Eatbrain, further solidifying the label’s reputation as a stalwart of quality drum and bass. And with names like Concord Dawn and MC Coppa in the equation, the 6th release on Eatbrain stands out as a must-own for any neurofunk head.

Nightwalkers EP kicks off with an dynamic collaboration between Telekinesis and Coppa, the Berlin-based MC who's collaborations with Prolix and Mindscape made enormous waves within the drum and bass scene in 2012. Telekinesis’s knack for atmosphere comes into full effect at the outset before Coppa's infectious rhymes take hold, winding things up into an irresistible drop. Still possessing the same raw ferocity that Telekinesis has become known for, 'Pocket Full Of Drops' takes their sound into playful territory. Combining their dirty signature bass, cleanly constructed drums, and Coppa's clever lyricism, 'Pocket Full of Drops' a true mood-lifter bound to crush any dancefloor it touches. Good vibes, plain and simple. 

Next up, New Zealand badboy Concord Dawn features on the EP's eponymous track, 'Nightwalkers.' Opening with an optimistic-sounding concoction of warm pads, a light drum break, and shimmering synth arpeggios, the melody soon takes a darker turn as the full-moon comes out and the dead begin to rise. By the time the tune drops, it's too late - you've already been bitten by Telekinesis and Concord Dawn's monstrous musical creation, and there is no hope for you. One thing is certain; 'Nightwalkers' is a hauntingly contagious track capable of turning an otherwise normal human into a mindless dancing abomination. Beware.

The EP's third track, 'Lich,' promises to slay crowds with its upbeat neurofunk vibes. Clean drums, spirited keys, and a dirty yet carefully polished bassline make this energetic roller a dangerous piece of ammunition. Nightwalkers EP wraps up with a truly fun yet complex exercise in future funk, 'She Wants To Skate'. A tune made purely for the dancefloor, 'She Wants To Skate' jumps right into things with tight, lively drums and an uplifting synth riff. Telekinesis's trademark bass warms itself up, before ripping into full swing at the drop, twisting and turning throughout the track amidst a catchy chopped up vocal. 'She Wants To Skate' is a particularly infectious joint, bound to get bodies moving and put smiles on faces.
